Small casings
I'm a beginner at using casing for sausages. At first I struggled to get the casing off the plastic. Then problem with fitting it on the sausage stuffer. After some trial and errors I figured it out. You really need to soak the casing for 30 minutes in warm water. Then cut one end of the plastic shorter so sliding the casing out will be easier. Then slowly run some water into the casing to test for leaks. There are 3 casings in this package. I think it was 1 piece cutted into 3 for easier to use. The quality is good since it didn't burst until I added too much pressure. It only smells at the beginning but no smell after soaking. This is a small casing which only fit small sausage stuffer. It is easy to use now that I learn how to use them. There is no taste on the casing itself and it's very thin you don't really taste it. These casings are useful making different type of sausages. It worked well in food dehydrator for Chinese sausages.

The Worst Sausage Casings Imaginable....
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON THESE CASINGS!!! I bought the "22-24 mm" diameter casings. Got the sausage stuffer set up and ready to stuff. The casings would not fit over the smallest diameter nozzle. I suspect they were 1/2 the advertised diameter.... When I finally did get a small amount on the nozzle, the casings tore extremely easily and repeatedly. Absolutely useless. I've made 100's of lbs.of sausage and have never been this frustrated by the utter lack of quality of this product. BUYERS BEWARE.

worked great
Made pork sausage with a polish recipe. Made hot dog sized sausages. They have a nice snap when you bite in. Overall i'm happy with this casing. Had 2 tears when stuffing, but i don't think that's a big deal since that happens with all casings. It seems to be a problem with stuffing too fast when you're pushing down on the machine. I just need an automatic stuffer.

If Experienced, This Should Be Acceptable - A LOT Of Salt - I'd Prefer No Salt
I'm another newbie when it comes to using sausage casing but I made an attempt. Although I couldn't compare this casing to any other, I can say that it certainly was functional by simply following information provided on this products webpage. Initially, I only noticed one slight tear before inserting sausage but it's possible that I caused that tear while playing with the casing and water faucet. I certainly created several more tears while trying to insert sausage before I gave up. After trying to obtain more information about this product compared to other casings, I believe this product has lower quality than a standard sausage casing, yet it is still acceptable and easily used by those with experience. What I could say is that there wasn't just a little bit of salt that was added... it was a lot and I would prefer to avoid salt despite its purpose.

Great for making venison sausages and snack sticks
These natural sheep sausage casings are perfect for the venison sausage links and snack sticks we make. This is our first time trying sheep casing and it did seem to be a bit less durable than hog (more likely to tear or puncture), but I have read that sheep is the most tender of the different casings you can use for sausage. We just adjusted how we were working (slow down a bit) and then we got the hang of it. Still had some tears here and there, but no different than we do using hog or collagen casings, we aren't pros. We had soaked for 30 minutes before use as directed as well. This product came tightly vacuum sealed. I do not have any complaints.

Good Casings
These are pretty good natural sausage casings. I made breakfast sausages with these. They're not terribly hard to work with, but you do have to be careful as they are prone to tearing easily. I do like that they are pre-tubed, it makes threading them onto a stuffer so much easier. They have a nice snap too, which is always nice.

Good quality well packaged
Good quality sheep casing that is nicely packed. Takes some time to soften/rehydrate so definitely spend the time to do that before use. They are also less resilient than hog casings so be gentle when stuffing these and don’t go to full when getting started. Overall, very happy with these for bfast sausage links and thinner bratwursts for my kids. They prefer the more tender bite of sheep casings over hog.
