I’m a maintenance worker for a luxury property and we usually contract our work, in regards to heavy painting jobs for apartments, to contractors for a hefty fee. For smaller jobs in units where people move out, we do the “touch ups” for the incoming resident(our staff, not contractors). Our monthly bonus is determined by a lot of different factors, however, a large portion of is how much of our budget is spent on these repairs and contractors. With this machine I can tackle “full paint” jobs that we normally contract out. The way it sprays leaves a flush and even coating that I cannot replicate with a brush. It’s so much faster that setting up the tape and mixing the paint take longer than painting itself (which isn’t long at all). You have to ensure that you get the right mixture depending on the paint you use and it works like a charm. Also, make sure you clean everything good after every job, just like any other tool. I’ve been doing a lot more “full paint” jobs which in turn saves us more money which leads to a bigger bonus. My manger mistakes my work for th “pros” now. Granted, I work more however in return it’s more money in my pocket. Truly a game changer for me. For larger projects make sure you have an extension cable. The only think is I wish I it came with is a larger paint tank. All in all, I’m truly satisfied at how easy it is to use and maintain. I have acquired a new talent thanks to it! I hope this helps!

This thing is fantastic. Am using it to paint the wood exterior of my house with acrylic latex paint, and it is many times faster than painting with a brush or roller, despite the extra masking required to protect from mist and drift. I am not a professional painter or construction worker, just an average do-it-yourselfer with no special skills, and this is the only sprayer I have ever tried. But I was pleasantly surprised by the manufacturing quality and excellent performance of this sprayer. There are dozens of sprayers in this price category, and most of them have some seriously negative performance reviews. I hesitated a long time before deciding to take the plunge, since I would not be comfortable returning the sprayer once I put paint in it, unless there were a manufacturing defect. I chose this particular sprayer largely on the absence of negative reviews, and am glad I did. This is an excellent unit. The spray nozzle and blower housing are made of a solid, durable material that feels like it will last. The hose connecting the nozzle to the blower is the only part that feels less rugged, but the hose is fully detachable at both ends so it can be replaced if necessary, and with sufficient care feels like it will last a very long time. This is a consumer product, not a professional tool, but a well-designed and high quality product nonetheless. Thinning the latex paint to the right viscosity is simple with the included viscosity tool. The spray density can be made extremely fine by backing off on the trigger, to get that factory perfect finish when painting a desk or door. The included shoulder strap for the blower makes carrying the sprayer easy. Am very happy with this product.

Product is not supposed to be used with latex paint, but based on other reviews, I decided to give it a try for this price. I did thin my paint with both water and Flood Floetrol Additive, as well as strain the paint, just to be sure. The instructions are clearly translated from another language and are hard to understand - this is my only issue with the product itself. As a paint sprayer newbie, it took me some time to figure out where the different nozzles attach and how the adjustments work - the instructions really only helped a little bit. My paint thickness worked just fine and I did experiment with the spray direction (horizontal or vertical) as well as the adjustment knob. Some parts of the wall turned out great, but the parts where I over applied were a hot mess. The thinned paint is super drippy and when it started to run, I went in with my brush or roller, but it dripped everywhere - TOTALLY my fault. I need to work on my spray technique. I also was worried about using latex paint which is thicker and so used the nozzle with the larger opening and opened the adjustment knob all the way - I think I need make changes to allow for more air in the paint - a finer spray would have made it harder for me to overapply. Also - my laundry room has a narrow hallway section - making it hard to step back and apply from a distance - this also contributed to areas where the paint was over-applied and drippy. As with all spray paint, light coats are better - might take a few tries to get the hang of it, but it is easy to use and I can see that it will work great when I use it to refinish a fiberglass tub. The latex paint seems to be no issue for the sprayer. And clean up was no harder then a regular brush or roller. I would buy again - just wish the instructions were more clear.

I chose this paint sprayer for a home cabinet re-do. I didn't want to have the weight of the motor as well as the paint so I got this one that puts the motor in a lightweight separate piece. It did a fine job (3 different tips came with it) and the clean up was as expected. Once you run water through the system you can take it apart and really get to most parts. The only suggestion is I would include an extra paint jar (plastic) so I could take off jar with leftover paint and put on a water jar to clean it out between coats. It was a pain to put the paint back into the can, then run water through it, then do it all over again. But overall I'm happy with the results on my cabinet doors.
