Not bad for 50$
Great sword for the money, don't go expecting the highest quality but for 50 its not bad! I'd say the worst thing about it is it's sharpness, it passes the nail test pretty easily, but has a hard time cutting through cardboard, which could be fixed by sharpening it yourself. It's a tad bit heavier than your average katana, weighing about 5 pounds. It has nice details on it including the tsuba and the hamon. The balance is a bit off because of the extra weight but nothing too bad since you can get used to it. As for fit, it fits in the scabbard well just make sure to unsheath it while the blade is facing up or the scabbard will eventually break (and you might lose some fingers too.) The colors are a little bit off from the pictures, but not enough to be bad. Good for a wall hanger. Good for cut training. Good for showing off. Good for cosplay. All around a great budget sword!

Best affordable katana
The brand HMS so far is the best and affordable functional katana I purchased. The quality and workmanship is above my expectations. The blade is sharp with distinct hamon. I am not sure if this is really a differential hardened blade or a true hamon. Some scratches to the surface but still deserves a 5 star. The gold color leaves on the saya is nice and well printed. A nice deal price from Amazon during purchase.

Amazing, a happy surprise.
I’ve bought “wall hangers” off amazon before and have been severely disappointed. So I was hesitant, I’ve been looking at KoA but prices were just a bit too high. And the reviews for this katana & this brand on amazon were surprisingly positive, so when I had a few extra bucks I decided why not. I am so glad I did. Sturdy, sharp, real. I might get the whole set/series. I’ve been doing Kendo & HEMA for a while now, but wanted something more real than a trainer as I want to pursue Iaido in my next step in my sword journey. If you get this sword you wont be disappointed. I have a WWII era katana and while the spine and weight on this “replica” is a tab heavier the feel is correct. If you want to practice kendo kata or Iadio you wont go wrong with this purchase. Next up for this sword is tatami mats.

when the guns run out of bullets. The katana and bow will rule the battlefield
The media could not be loaded. This is a beautiful weapon of war. You can do a lot of damage. Very silently. It's just you and a thousand zombies. You will never run out of ammo. These are made perfectly beautifully very strong. Very sharp right out the box and will last forever. This is the third one I've bought andmates Oregon. Very good price easily. A $500 buy for under 100 bucks

Nice blade for the money.. Musashi 638
The manufacture really tries to present a working Katana blade and I feel they hit the mark. I got the simple black lacquered sheath, the blade is beautiful, and even the tube it came in is beautiful. I plan on polishing the blade more and maybe sharpening it There are a few minor scratches on the blade that can be polished out, but it is truly a good deal if you like Japanese art.Update.... I've had the blade for a month or so, and have polished it with "Number 7" white polishing compound. It's $7.00 on Amazon and will last you years. I've rubbed the blade down every day for about 5 minutes at a time using a micro fiber cloth, and the blade is turning into a mirror finish. I wax or oil it after the polishing. Cheers

Nice uchigatana for the price!
Very nice presentation, unique packaging, for the price it was quite a nice find. Real same skin on the tsuka, Ito was fairly tight, fuchi, habaki, kashira, seppas and tsuba all tight. It's sharp, but not so sharp that it's durability is lost, it seems more of a heavy cutting edge rather than light, even though it's only 1045 it has held up well, no visible damage on edge after semihard and soft targets, along with some abrasive cuts through small branch's and cardboard.
