Very easy to install, large readable dial.
Very simple gauge to install. Have to be a little careful, since it is made of plastic, so you don't crack it while tightening it. Would be nice if it had the ability to thread it into both a 1 1/2" and the 2" opening. This gauge is nice because it is a simple drop weight float, so there is no issue with the float getting interferred with by the older exsisting gauge system.

What size of hole you have. Gauge face for app.
I installed this gauge in vertical tank. Very easy removed spare plug, drop in. Works well.

Nice quality gauge
I really really like this gauge used for my 275 gallons heating oil tank. It's so easy to read like a vehicle fuel gauge. It's spot on for my oil tank height no string adjustment needed. This gauge can only be hand tight and it fits 2 inch opening hole on the tank. I just put a little silicone grease on the thread and the rubber o-ring and installed it.

The hardest part was climbing into the crawl space.
SOOO easy to install! Our tank is 275 gallons, but on its side (wider rather than tall). Popped in the alternate gauge ring, climbed in to the crawl space, unscrewed the cap on the oil tank (the old gauge wouldn't budge, so we left it), screwed on the new gauge, and DONE! Bummer, only half a tank... Hope to get many years use out of it, but if not, I'd buy this again...and send someone else into the crawl space. ;)

It's super easy to install, and pretty acurrate!
Upon receiving it, I installed it on my vertical 275 Gallon tank. I removed the 2" NPT cap and before I put on the new tank gauge, I measured the depth of the heating oil left in the tank, it was 26 1/4". According to the tank oil level chart: a depth of 26" indicates appoximately176 Gallons of oil (5/8 tank). After I installed it, it read 5/8 as seen in my attached photo - pretty damn good! The shipping was fast as well! The only thing that I feel less comfortable is, shipping is not free. When all put together plus tax, it's almost $50! And it's all made of plastic, so how durable it will be?

Works perfect for IBC water storage tote!!
Worked great in my 250 gallon IBC rain water water storage tote! I have two totes connected for a total of 500 gallons and they’re wrapped in black plastic so this is the only way to tell how much water is stored. Very happy!

Lots of misinformation here
Where to start...first wth is in this weight? There is an unknown liquid that is weighing it down. I didn't read anything about this in the product description. I put it next to my IBC tote and it spun backward twice trying to see if it could even measure the full depth. That would be a no... The final nail in the coffin for me on this product before I returned it was the 2-inch threads are FINE threads which is also not specified. IBC tote slides use a course 2-inch thread (the thick threading) so it wouldn't even be able to be installed in the first place. So many negatives. I couldn't recommend this product to anyone if the seller cannot even provide accurate information to their sellers about the entire product including what the unknown liquid is...who knows if this was pottable water in my IBC tote, could have been poisoned with a leak?!

Works
I set the float as instructed but the way the float works is it is a fluid filled container so it requires a fair amount of product in the tank before it will begin to float so in my case it reads empty when I got 15 to 20 gallons of fuel left in the tank. So if you looking for accuracy this is not that great. As for my purpose I am happy with it so far.
