This was the 6th diy kit I've ever done and it was absolutely the worst to put together. I gave two stars for the fact that all the materials were there. But the instructions were only sometimes helpful and usually left me with more questions than answers. Almost nothing aligns well (no matter how many different ways I tried) and the furniture was annoying to build. I was so annoyed with this kit I didn't even finish with the dust cover and boats. I couldn't stand to be working on it any more. There was a lot of the build I left out or didn't do because it seemed silly. Like why would I put rocks in the bedroom? Why is there a lawn chair in what would be under water? The underwater idea is SO cute and I had such high expectations but it was just annoying to put together. I'm usually okay with that feeling since I usually feel like, "that was so annoying but SO worth it because it came out great" but this kit only left me with a feeling of "that was so irritating, and absolutely not worth it". The final product looks cute, but all I feel is rage when I look at it.

I had such a great time putting this together! There are a lot of little parts, and this kit also involves having to cut out many things to glue on, but I actually find that fun. It's small, but it definitely takes some time to complete. Some may find this type of DIY tedious and not very exciting, but not me! I love all the little bits and pieces. Once it's completed, you feel so satisfied with your work. I do recommend getting a decent craft glue to work with.

I’d had several nook books I’ve done in the past, but this was a little something different. I’ve also worked on doll house miniatures (at 1:12 scale) so this is a little bit different (at 1:24 scale). I needed to use google translate to read a lot of the writing on the box, the instructions, etc. but that’s not too hard to manage. Overall, it’s super small (3.5” square by 4.5” tall), so I don’t think this is something that a newbie should start out with. It’s more of a display than a nook. Overall, it’s cute, not overly hard to build, and the quality is just what you’d expect from a craft like this. It’s a little pricier than I’d pay again, given how small it is compared to nooks and their price of around $50.

Daughter loves it. She seems to be enjoying constructing the mini items with no troubles. Only complaint is the tubes of liquid are not labeled.
