Best handheld for the house we've ever had
Very powerful - goes well with other 18V tools' batteries and has a very well thought-out system that covers all potential uses. This is our "quick cleanup around litter boxes and up and down the stairs". Deals well with small as well as larger debris in separate easy-to-empty chambers.

Great for it’s purpose
Bought this to clean up small messes in the workshop (garage) or doing repairs in the house. I like the idea that it shares the same batteries as my other Bosch tools but performance was my main criteria. People should read the description before whining about it not coming with a battery. It’s intended market is for those of us who have a Bosch charger and batteries already. Is it a bit expensive given that? Maybe but I don’t need to buy the charger and batteries. If you do, choose another vacuum. To be fair, this is not a shop vacuum. It’s a handheld dust-buster type vacuum. In that sense it works great. I have a hand held vacuum in the house and I bought a couple other hand-helps to compare suction. I had researched all of these to try to get the best performing models. I tested them side by side with the Bosch. At worst, it was comparable with the other handhelds. I did a test of putting marbles on carpeting and noting at which distance the vacuums sucked up the marbles. (I didn’t want dirt in the vacs I would be returning so I used lego’s and marbles). The Bosch bested all of them. Also, the opening in Bosch allows larger objects, like marbles, to get completely sucked in. The other vacs have narrower rectangular opening and marbles/legos got stuck in the opening and fell out when turned of. Not so with the Bosch. Feeling more confident in the Bosch, I took it outside to test on sawdust, etc in my garage, along with the hand-held I already own. The Bosch worked best and now I own it. I do not use it to vacuum piles (I bend over and use a broom and dustpan). I use a small shop vac for cars. I DO use the Bosch to clean the top of my table saw, workbench and power tools, or dust from repairs. I take it, along with my other Bosch tools and batteries, over to Mom’s when I need to fix something. Perfect. That’s what it is for! If you own a $300 hand-held that will suck a golf ball through a garden hose then good for you...why are you looking at this product anyway? The included attachments are the right for their intended purposes. Big messes require a bigger vacuum, obviously! Negative reviews are based on expectations that are not appropriate for this type of vacuum. I like it, use it and recommend it.

Still figuring Out The quality
Received The package A Couple Days ago. Just opened It Up today, package came seemingly In Good Shape, Shipped In The items Original box.A Piece of tape On The bottom of The box Kept The contents Inside. This made me A Little weary In Case It was Second Hand / Used And Then manually taped Back. After inspecting The items They all seemed New And Fine.I have The Bosch 18v 2.6 gallons Wet/Dry As Well with hoses And adapted ETC.So Far relative To This, I dont Know if The hoses / Flexible Tube As Well As The Solid Pole extenders or even The Angled hose Are Cross compatible. I think The accessories for This Vacuum Might Be A tad Too Small In Diameter And won’t Fit.Confusingly The accessories came with A Little accessory holder, but UnLike The 18V 2.6 gallon Wet/Dry, I dont think There Is AnyThing To Mount It To On The Device.Putting A 4ah battery In The Back makes This thing balance Perfectly. The Weight Distribution Is Actually Very Good And You can have It leaning Off The edge And Not Worry It Might topple Over (w battery ].I’ve Noticed A Lot of Other reviews Saying The suction isn’t that Good. The suction w A 4ah Bosch battery Is modest. It Is What I Expected from A Hand held Vacuum. It won’t compete against A corded Vacuum or even A Higher amperage portable High vac, but It Will Most likely beat any Other handheld Vacuum Thats Competing.I’ve Not Seen AnyThing from dewalt, Milwaukee, ryobi, Dyson, miele, that Is Within This price Range, has This Functionality And durability with Cross compatibility w batteries, And Is reliable. There Are A Couple things I am still reviewing And Will update my Review As I Figure It Out.In Terms of how Sterile This Vacuum Is (how Good It Is at keeping The trash / Dust It sucks Up And Not Just releasing It Into The air for You To breathe Straight in], It Is hard To Tell. The Interior Chamber gets Extremely dirty And Is angled making It hard To empty Out by Just Shaking And tapping. However Just from A Couple Uses So much Extra Dust And dirt And grim Gets trapped In The nooks (The thing Is See through) rhat you wonder how insulated that chamber is. You migjt not wajt to put this next to your bed, or kitchen, or batheroom. anywhere youd expect vacuumed trash contents to not appear. A sinfle filter blocks the air intake vacuum feom the trash it sucks in, but i dont know what is the barrier between the particulate intake hole where trash is sucked in and the vacuum chamber.Does trash in the vacuum chamber just move out freely through the hole it came in if the device isn't actively running? This is by no means a hepa filter, but i am thinking to keep it outside the bedroom closest / in a work bench.
