So helpful. I can sleep in peace now.
My cat is an absolute JERK and when he's ready for breakfast, he will destroy EVERYTHING he can get his little paws on until I get up to feed him. The biggest problem here is that he decides to start demolishing my house around 330 am. Broken glasses, dented and broken Vinyl Pop figures - you name it, he's broken it, all while staring me down until I get up to feed the little psycho. We got the feeder and I started it at 330, then did 4 the next day, then 430, and now 5. He leaves me alone to let me sleep and doesn't destroy the house anymore. He tries to get the lid open but it doesn't budge for him. He is a greedy little gremlin. The machine works very well. You download an app, and set up your schedule. It reminds you to clean it and gives you cleaning instructions, but it's very intuitive. I love it. I feed him 1/3 can for meal times to begin with, so the 3 meal portions is perfect. I would absolutely buy again if I thought I needed more. It plugs in, no batteries required. It keeps the food cold until about 30 minutes before feeding time, then it moves it off the cooler to come down to room temp. The lid sides open, he eats, and it even tells me how long it took him to eat his food, which is nice in case he changes his eating habits so I can keep an eye on his overall health.

excellent feeder
Amazing machine. Went with this rather than the ones that use ice for keeping the food cold. I ended up getting 3 of them and setting the feeding times for 3 different times during the day. I have 5 feral cats that come at random times so this works out well. They have been outside (covered porch) for 5 weeks now and are working perfectly. They are easy to clean and refill and the setup was simple, tho the wifi connection did take a few minutes. The battery backup is helpful as I have had a power outage for almost a day and when the power came back on not only did the feeders function during the outage, but they resumed the program perfectly. I would highly recommend this feeder for anyone who needs to have food for your small cat/dog while you are gone for a day or 3, or as me, help the feral cat population during the winter. Oh, i put 1/2 a 5.5oz can in each section. you could probably get a bit more in, but that seems about the amount to keep it from going over the fill mark.

Run as fast as you can from this company
The app is terrible and needs a lot of work. First and most importantly, there is currently no way to open a compartment more than once in a day, so if your pet eats more often than once every 24 hours, you have to use two or three compartments to accomplish twice or thrice daily feeds, making only 24 hours of feeding possible. The only way currently to achieve 72 hours as advertised is opening each compartment once in a day, for a maximum of 4 hours per day. Second, the only way to advance the tray on the via the app is by canceling the schedule, starting a manual feed, and tapping a small icon. Since I’ve had it get confused with a schedule change and I had to manually push the motor around to get it on the right feeding tray. Once it opened the lid but the tray was only half-aligned with the slot. Adding the ability to open each tray multiple times in a day and advancing the tray via the app would go a long way to realizing the full potential of this feeder. I realize some animals will eat everything as soon as the tray opens, but not all pets are like that and having the option to split feeds from one tray in a day is crucial. Third, the manual open option forces you to select a scheduled time, which is hopelessly confusing and ruins the schedule for the day. The manual function should be separate from the schedule and open one time for a chosen duration, e.g. “open now for 30 minutes.” Fourth, there also needs be a way in the app to play the bell sound that signals opening of the tray lid. That would help in training the pet to approach the feeder upon hearing the bell. UPDATE: I'm taking another star off for the app. If the schedule gets off (which it does frequently) you are hosed. You have to manually push the tray around against the motor, which clearly is not good for it. I would suggest avoiding this until they make the app useful. UPDATE 2: Docked another star down to 1. This feeder is as bad as the app. It manages to stick to a twice daily feeding schedule for a few days, then something happens and it can’t figure out which bowl to present. I’ve talked to customer support who have been responsive, but their advice is similarly useless, such as “put the am feed in bowl 2 or 3 and the pm feed in bowl 1”, which shows a complete lack of understanding that the bowl would be turning in opposite directions depending on whether it was 2 to 1 or 3 to 1. Maybe I got a bad device, but my poor cat has no idea when to eat and we can’t leave him alone because the feeder is completely untrustworthy. Spend your money elsewhere. UPDATE 3: If could give them negative stars I would. I have the Polar feeder, Granary feeder and Water Fountain for cats. More fool me. They have been nothing but trouble for more than a year. Frequently disconnect. Very hard to reconnect. For the last couple of weeks the app has been logging me out randomly after 30-90 seconds in the middle of operations. The Polar feeder is completely incapable of reliably opening to the indicated tray. Too often doesn’t open at all. I emailed support with a detailed list of issues, including videos. They failed to answer at all. Please don’t waste your money on them. They do not deserve to be in business.

Feeder with a nice sleek design and workmanship, works as advertised!
So far so good - just been 2 days. I bought 2 of these for my two cats. I have a trip coming up, so I had to ensure they have food when they need it. I liked the packaging, design, look and feel, and the workmanship. The rotating food plate is of high quality. I like the app as it tells you exactly how long your pet was at the feeder. The chime sound is not too loud, and they are intrigued by the chime, which draws them to the feeder. The food is kept pretty cold which was a pleasant surprise. It barely makes any sound; I was expecting a rumbling fan. The unit gets a bit warm near the vents. The power adapter also gets warm, which I assume is ok (safe) when we are not around to check. Hope there have been no untoward incidents because of the heat.

Great product, but cats were scared of it unfortunately
Great idea if you need to leave your pets overnight. Worked great, but my cats are scared of the noise it made to alert them the food was available. Would have kept if my cats weren’t skiddish to begin with. Unfortunately they would not use it after trying for a week, so had to send it back. Great quality product though.

Impressed
Works as promised. It is impressively solidly built. It makes no noise or vibration. The stainless steel dish seems to be fine in the dishwasher, no issues. Very fast/easy app setup. For daily use, the app design is not perfectly intuitive. Changing schedules takes some practice. Biggest concern is my 6 lb. cat seems to struggle with the shape or height of the feeding chamber. I'm not sure yet if she'll adjust. She has no problem eating out of the other kind of timed feeder - CatMate - where there is an ice pack underneath but has a more rectangular food tray. I plan to get a second cat, so I intend to keep trying with her and also save it for our future kitty. My real goal is once I have 2 cats, to buy 2 microchip feeders for their wet food, but those are so pricey so that will have to wait. Very pleased with what PetLibro has done with the design of this, the connectivity, and especially for this price point. Would recommend.

Good for scheduling wet food feedings
It works well and allows for wet food feeding while I’m at work. The stainless steel tray is removable and washable. I do really wish they offered replacement trays, so I could have one in use while the other is in the dishwasher. There are small issues occasionally like the tray getting stuck in the wrong position where the food isn’t centered in the opening. Also if you choose to open it for a meal early, it throws off every feeding cycle after that one.

Great Idea but Faulty
EDIT: Wait until after October if you are planning to buy this. I am changing this to three stars. This is to recognize that support was helpful in recognizing my problem (in the section below) and frustration and providing consistent follow-ups and customer service to help alleviate my disappointment. While the problem described below does not have a known fix, there are supposedly 'better optimized' models coming up in the next couple of months that are said to be less prone to this kind of failure. In addition, I have improved the score because the product truly is helpful and convenient, and if I don't have this issue again then I will improve the score once more. I am leaving my original review below this line that describes the problem I have. ______________________________________________________________________ Keeping this as 1 star for now until i know what the problem and solution is. This is a great concept. I love the idea of setting up an entire meal for a day for each of my cats and only have to worry about clean up and refilling once at the end of the day. In fact, i bought 2 for eqch cat so they wouldn't have to fight over it and since the opening isn't made for mutliple animals to use simulataneously and for 2 weeks it was great. However, at that timeframe,, I've encountered an issue where the tray keeps rotating and won't stop. I tried resetting the device, removing it from my app, and trying different outlets, and no matter what it will keep rotating. When holding the reset button, it'll halt for a second, only to continue its rotation. With the exception of it being unplugged it never stops rotating. It's such a bizarre issue that I can't even to begin diagnosing other than it happened while i am away from home and it may be a network problem since when i hit "Open now", it will stop rotating, but it stays where its at and does not open the lid, making it pointless anyway. I tried to use support, and i was given the same instructions I've followed online, then was told that I will have to wait for at least 5 days until they can get back, which i hate to sound entitled but thats a longer timeframe than what i care for, and after reading some complaints that support never got back to the customers, i didnt want to wait that long. I thought maybe i got a faulty device and just traded for a used one. It worked for 2 days until the 2nd device i got earlier got the same exact issue as the traded one. Could it be the surge protector im using? Could it be that i have two feeders that are close to each other? I have no idea, and I wouldnt know for at least awhile, if ever if the complaints about support ghosting is true. It sucks because its newrly the perfect device and works wonderfully when im away or sleeping and need a meal for early morning, but its so infuriating that 2 devices ended up basically breaking because there is just no way to find out why its having this rotation issue and how to fix it. Maybe the review is too harsh and again i am currently in queue for support, but im afraid not enough testing or thorough troubleshooting is provided, so i want to say that unfortunately i am a very unhappy customer that yes even one of the devices breaking like this screws things over and i hope to hear back from support, then i would love to provide the solution to those with the same problem in an edit, assuming i hear back or i dont return all of my devices and look elsewhere for this need.
