I waited until I had used this monitor and put it through it's paces before writing this review. After a couple of weeks all I can say is how dumb it was to have never done this sooner. For what I need, this has been the greatest investment I have ever made in my golf game and this model has performed perfectly...so far. After being away from the game, recovering from spinal fusion surgery, I have been allowed to start back training and I am also basically changing my swing to allow for playing after the procedure. I have lost some distance and really needed to dial in my distances I hit now so I can play and practice. I read a lot of reviews and decided to take my swing change and the work required seriously. I bought the SC300i and started using it right out of the box. See below...1. I use it at the range for practice to easily get distance for every club, set up 5 feet behind the ball and I have had no issues at all. Occasionally a really bad contact does not read. I have had to swallow my pride and record some really bad distances on some chunk shots here and there. For me, the wood and driver distances have proven accurate as well. Swing speed, carry distance, roll out distance on the app (more on that later), ball speed, everything has been great for me and has allowed me to ramp up my recovery. I also set it up during a recent lesson as I go through my swing changes.2. I use it in target mode in my backyard to work hitting certain distances for shots around the green. It is just as accurate and the feedback is invaluable as i work my way back.3. The technology is out of this world so far. I am not really big on reading directions and following instructions but this unit has been incredible. I bought the pack with portable battery, charged the battery pack the first day and then charged the unit. I practiced this morning and the monitor still has FULL battery life! The battery has not dropped 1 notch having used it at least 15 times now. I used it without the remote for over a week because my remote was not working and I really did not care. All I did was change the club/loft setting by hand. I swapped out the battery today and now even the remote is as easy as anything else. Just makes it easier than it already was.4. The Voice Caddy phone app is like having my teacher with me all the time. It is incredible. When I finish a session I simply turn on the unit and connect my phone bluetooth and it connects every data point from the session. I go over everything while looking at the app. This has already made a difference in my practice and results. The amount of data I see from every practice session is actually more than I ever need.I have not even used the swing video capability yet, at least until I correct a rather glaring flaw in my swing that I do not like to see. I utilize data from every swing, if I chunk a 7 iron and it goes 80 yards I still keep that info. Again, for me this has been the PERFECT product. I can already see my swing change become more comfortable and my distances are getting back to pre-surgery levels, at least on 7 iron-GW. I have already learned that I hit my strong 5 wood about the same distance as my older 3 wood so I am taking the 3 out of the bag and adding another wedge.If any of my story is similar to what you need RUSH OUT AND BUY THIS UNIT TODAY!

My primary use is for my indoor net, I used my pops level to make sure the SC300 is level with the ball just as the instructions suggest, also used a laser measure to make sure it's exactly 5 ft away from the ball for consistency.Device: Build quality feels really good, compact design helps store easily in the golf bag. Very easy to read all the info from 5ft away, audible notification also helps.Battery: Man does this thing lasts for a while - I used it to hit 200 balls the first day and of the three bars it was still full, Day 2, hit another 200 balls and went from 3 bars to 2bars - Can easily be used for 4-5 sessions of 200-250 balls.Accuracy: Initially used indoors, was skeptical of the yards so went to the backyard and did a full test on distance with a rangefinder - NOTE: set your loft and lie for every club - So my PW is my 100-105 club kept getting 96-98 on SC300i both indoors and outdoors which made me skeptical, I would measure with laser and even did a full walkout with yards tape, then I updated the club's data via the app, updated the loft and lie and now getting accurate yards to within a few feet. Ran some tests with various club brands some with stronger lofts/lies vs others where both yardage, launch angle, and spin rates will vary and it was really accurate.Remote: This has to be the handiest feature, quickly change clubs without touching the device from a distance. Also, the ability to change the modes from Practice to Target mode. In target mode, you can also change the target yards directly with the remote.App: The app for sure requires some improvements, nothing that is a deal-breaker however. Data gets stored within the device till you sync with phone or tablet. All the data points are available and can be exported to excel.Wishlist of app1. Ability to remove clubs that are not in the bag2. Desktop version to easily export the data or view within the online portal3. Ability to update a session's data - for example, I hit 7i but forgot to change club on the device so the data recorded as W1 or Driver, so I ended up just deleting that session's data vs having skewed data.4. Flight Path or Side spin would help understand strike a bit better (can't have it all at this price point but would be sweet)Overall very happy and I can see it being used long-term. If you are an avid golfer and stats and numbers play a big part in your game or just want to figure out your carry and total yards per club, this device will do that accurately.
