Hydrating Shampoo
I’ve been using both the Sunny Isle Lavender Mint Hair & Strong Roots Shampoo and Conditioner for about 4 months now. For context, I have thick, coarse, straight Asian hair. So far, I’m impressed with how gentle and moisturizing the products have been on my hair. The mint scent is unique but not overpowering. The shampoo gives a great deep clean without making my hair feel stripped or dry. It lathers well, rinses clean, and leaves my scalp feeling balanced and refreshed. I naturally have a very oil scalp, and this didn’t cause any irritation or dryness. The conditioner pairs well with it and I have noticed it makes my hair softer and less tangled. My hair feels smoother, less frizzy, and much easier to style. Highly recommend if you want a shampoo and conditioner set that’s gentle and clean.

Sunny Isle Lavender Mint Hair
I use this shampoo every other wash and I love how it makes my scalp feel during and after the rinse. The shampoo has a lovely scent, though I mainly notice the mint hints more than the lavender.

Perfect when using with the Sunny Isle Lavender conditioner
I ordered this shampoo to compliment the Sunny Isle Lavender mint conditioner. This shampoo is sudsy and did well when using it on my ethnic hair.If you like the smell of lavender (more so than mint) then you will like this shampoo!

Good shampoo
I love this shampoo and the scent is really nice. It’s more of a lavender shampoo than mint but I still love it. It suds up really nicely and leaves my hair clean and fresh. I usually only have to go a couple days with no shampooing.

It's Not Bad and It's Not Great
This shampoo is sulfate-free and it has a lot of claims that I like the sound of: it can help with hair growth, improve scalp health, etc. It has a natural scent that is strongly lavender with background scents of mint and maybe eucalyptus. The bottle is a standard size and it is recyclable. I've never tried Jamaican black castor oil before and was curious about it.Here's why I deducted stars:1) I feel like I need to double cleanse with this shampoo to make my hair feel clean, which means I use twice as much. However, I also find it a bit drying, so it's a weird conundrum to have because if I only shampoo with it once, it doesn't lather as well as it does on the second time. If I only use it once, my hair doesn't look as good or stay clean as long between washings. I think someone with shorter hair or who has an oily scalp would love this.2) As mentioned above, this can be drying for both my hair and my scalp. I cannot use it with every shower that I take because it can dry my scalp out and make it itchy. I follow with a very rich conditioner and then I also use leave-in after showering to try to counteract it. If you have hair that is prone to frizzing, I don't think this would be a great fit because it can make my very straight hair a bit frizzier and less shiny/smooth than usual. I will note that it does also seem to add a bit of body because of that, though, but my hair can get more tangled because of it so it's not my favorite.3) I cannot comment on any claims about increased hair growth since I don't think that can really be measured very accurately or unless I've used the product for longer than a few weeks.I will use it up and I definitely don't hate it but I don't think I would re-buy it because there are so many other products out there to try that could be better for my hair's needs.

Good shampoo
I've been using this shampoo for about 3-4 weeks now and have really liked how it makes my hair feel. It is a concentrated shampoo and I don't have to use much. It makes my hair feel soft and moisturized. Great shampoo!

Lathers well, has possible hair growth benefits, but lacking a great scent.
Sunny Isle Lavender Mint Hair and Strong Roots ShampooThis shampoo has medium consistency like a good liquid body wash, it lathers well, and my hair feels thoroughly clean, but not overly moisturized which is ok because I always follow up with a conditioner. For reference, I have thick textured hair. The scent reminds me of an industrial or mechanics hand soap with a hint of an essential oil you would use in a sauna for a menthol effect, but I didn’t experience the lovely lavender & mint scent I imagined from reading the description.Overall, the scent of this shampoo isn’t that horrible or a deal breaker, and I’ll tolerate it for the benefits that the included ingredients possibly provide.

Great for Curly Hair!
I used this shampoo on my daughter's curly hair to see if it would work well for her. Usually she uses a regular shampoo and I put a curl cream in her hair while it's still damp and I let it dry that way. With this shampoo, I decided to add nothing after the wash. I am so impressed! Her curls looked beautiful and bouncy with much less frizz and wildness than it usually has, especially without using an additional product after the wash. I'm so happy I found this shampoo that works so well on curls and would definitely recommend it to anyone else hoping to find a great curly girl solution.
