right consistency, although the initial taste is a little "off" but as it melts in your mouth its hard to believe its not the real thing, same after-taste AND it works in cooking/baking just likf the real thing too.i was able to introduce the person i was dating (who had a SERIOUS peanut/tree nut allergy) to their first taste of actual "Puppy Chow" and show them why i kept insising that calling the "cookies & cream /non-peanut or tree nut" store bought version "an over sweet culinary abomination".(next up is a no-nut homemade "Resee's cup", and their first PB&J)

i have nut allergies and ive tried other non peanut butter but theyre gross and cant get paste the taste. I really miss eating it so i wanted to try this. Its actually good and taste like peanut butter. Its slightly thicker than regular peanut butter u cant tell much.

Closest thing to tasting like actual peanut butter that I've found! As someone who developed a nut allergy as an adult, I miss peanut butter. This satisfies my cravings without the allergic reaction that eating real peanut butter causes.

I'm allergic to peanuts, but missed having peanut butter so I decided to try WowButter.First of all, it's considerably more expensive than peanut butter. I can get Jif PB at a grocery store for 17 cents per ounce where the WowButter costs 54 cents per ounce. I decided it was worth a try to find something similar to PB that I can eat.I was warned that the texture of WowButter is very thick and dry. I tasted it right out of the jar and it definitely doesn't taste "just like peanut butter" as some other reviewers have said. I didn't expect it to because it's not made from peanuts. The taste right out of the jar was a little bland, dry and definitely hard to spread.I decided to put a couple of tablespoons of the WowButter in a bowl and I added just a few drops of extra light olive oil and a tiny pinch of salt. When I mixed it up, it became smooth and spreadable. Just a tiny bit of salt made all the difference in the taste and a tiny bit of oil improved the texture immensely.While I still miss peanut butter, this is a very satisfactory alternative that I consider worth the price difference and that I will continue to enjoy.

The closest thing I can find to real peanut butter! I have a slight peanut butter obsession, but also I have a child with a severe peanut allergy. Wow butter is close enough to the real thing that I love it. My recent jars were perfect. For a while it seemed like they may have changed their recipe because it was really oily, but the last several jars were not oily at all!

Awful! Same texture as pb but tastes gross! Imagine thinking you’re gonna taste pb and instead it tastes like miso paste. Ick!

My daughter will ONLY eat PB&J for lunch, oni am trying to find an alternative for PB for when she starts school in the fall. The WOW butter was better than sun butter, but still does not taste enough like peanut butter. I'm glad I only bought one jar to try, because we will not be eating it.

Taste as close to peanut butter as you can get. It spreads like peanut butter and taste pretty close to it.
