1. STRONG paint smell. We purchased the white with door. Trying to air it out before letting baby sleep in it but not sure if the smell will go away because it’s quite strong. There’s also a sticker on the bed that says cancer risk from saw dust so I’m a bit weary if it’s safe. 2. Frame was easy enough to put together but the bottom slats do not have holes, so you will need to measure out the length between each slat and use a power drill to get the slats on. 3. Some of the holes are off, especially on the door so the latch was crooked. Had to make it work by making our own hole. We also couldn’t get the screw in one of the sides of the door, we kept screwing, but the wood was just coming loose and the screw wasn’t going in so we just left that one without a screw. 4. Each piece is light in weight, not sure on sturdiness so far. Honestly don’t know why these beds cost so much when it’s just pieces of (very light) wood and we have to put it together ourselves. We really like this bed! It’s fairly well built (obviously not solid wood but still great for the material it uses) and not too difficult to assemble. My child loves it! Perfect for introducing independence after transitioning out of a crib.

Product came damaged. Too much work to return so we are dealing with the damage. The lats that hold the mattress aren’t pre drilled so you have to guess how far to space them out. Everything else was self explanatory putting it together.

This bed has been the best investment! Our toddler loves it and thinks it is the coolest thing in the world!
