Beautiful poppies
I bought this packet of seeds in 2011. They germinated great and have been reseeding themselves every year. I also get enough seeds to expand my poppy beds in other parts of my garden. I share all my seeds with my friends and still have a nice reserve for other years in case I need to replant them. The real grape color was a nice pop of color. My blooms on this poppy flower are a little smaller then most of the other plants. It is a nice delicate flower and I would recommend them to anyone. I started them in peat pellets and got almost 100 percent plants. I got the seeds quickly in the mail. I had no problems with this order and plan to reorder some other colors.

So far so good...
First off, I'm not a planter/gardener by any means. I'll try to make this as short as possible, and hopefully a little helpful to the inexperienced gardener. As far as delivery, the seeds arrived much faster than the slated date for delivery. They looked carefully packaged, and the written instructions were as detailed as possible. They gave directions for the rookie planters like myself, and directions for the more seasoned gardeners.Due to an unusual heat wave where I live (SoCal), I wasn't able to plant these up until about a week and a half ago. I had a couple bare spots in my front yard planter (which definitely gets the recommended 6 hours of sunlight per directions), so I decided to plant the seeds there. Prior to planting the seeds, the directions said to mix the seeds with sand. The planter in my backyard has a sandy-type of soil-so I took about a 1/4 cup of the sandy soil, poured a bag of the seeds into the soil, and mixed with a fork. I then poured the soil/seed mix into the bare spots in my planter, and then I used a handheld cultivator to just spread it all around. That's all. I've kept it damp (not soaked) since planting, and after just 3-4 days, there are multiple patches of little green sprouts all over the once bare areas. Almost 2 weeks after planting, they seem to be growing bigger & bigger each day. I will probably follow up with another review once the plants become more established (or die off...whichever comes first).

Very high germination rate, and beautiful flowers
I just threw these on the ground in February one day when it was raining (I live in Los Angeles - it does rain here in February). The pill bugs absolutely loved the seedlings, but with the insanely high germination rate, it didn't matter. In the sun, they did well and the flowers were huge. Shady areas - I supported the stalks, and the flowers were slightly smaller and less vibrant, but they grew. The seed pods were MASSIVE and I doubt I'll ever need to buy these again.

Didn't grow
I'm in zone 5 and these didn't grow. Maybe it is because of the clay in the soil here, but I was disappointed because they were so expensive.

Can't wait for Fall.
Just now got to plant these a few days ago. Bought them about a year ago and just traveled around with them but now they have been put to use. The company was nice to send an informative brochure of sorts along with the seeds including details on how to grow and take care of them and a quick outlook on the Poppy.
