This is my second one. I originally purchased one a few years ago for my truck. I just bought a second one for my Crosstrek. Two main reasons why I bought this ; added safety with the LED brake lights and keeping my rear bumper free from damage due to other drivers parking too close to my vehicle in a parking lot.

It s great accessory but .I like it so far.But the way the manufacturer install the LED is not really safe.i left my car for only one night outside and then someone has stolen the light.I would suggest you guys to glue the LED with clear silicone or clear glue .cause it was too easy to remove.when I woke up this morning I only saw the wires with a white connector.Other option you could use like Hexagonal heads screw at the both sides.a type of screw which require an specific screw driver to unscrew them.So that will discourage people spending time to that.Other then that it s a nice step.it makes the back of truck luck nicer.Other thing do you guys sell the LED replacement in case someone makes might has one damaged?Thank you I m still using mine without the link light.please let me know I can still purchase a replacement.thank you +!!

As soon as I opened the box - I knew something was wrong. I couldn't tell originally if it was covered in rust or just LOTS of red dirt. Turns out it was VERY dirty and gross - whatever was on it left a gritty mess all over my hands and the countertop where I opened the box. The light was falling off IN THE BOX - something other reviewers had warned about and I wish I had listened to. There was no pin. The "insert" to make this fit my receiver was cheap plastic. I don't know if this was something someone else returned dirty and they just turned around and sent it to me without cleaning it or ensuring that all the parts were there or if it left the manufacturer that way - but there really doesn't seem to be any reason to send really dirty products to someone. The light is a joke and poorly attached. If it can't stay attached while shipping I understand the reviewers that said it fell off right away when it was attached to a vehicle and exposed to elements. The quality is so poor that I didn't even take it off the kitchen counter to see if it fit my truck. I simply wrapped it back up and I am returning this.

I received my item after a few days. It was a box inside another box. The box was not the original one you see on YouTube or online. It comes in a generic brown box in bubble with instructions and plastic shims to prevent wiggling when installed. The one I received looked like it was a used item. I took some pictures just in case they needed it, but they didn't. I requested a replacement. I returned it to UPS the same day and Amazon was able to order me a replacement that took three days to get here. The item looked the same, but the led light was crooked and the rubber pieces covering the sides had the same powdery/scuff type look. I requested a refund but ended up putting some elbow grease into cleaning the marks on the rubber pieces. I also heated up the led strip with a blow dryer to remove it and straightened it out myself. Now it looks like it should have looked. Amazon customer service has always been helpful with returned or replacement of items that does not meet standards.After fixing the cosmetic problems, I connected the wiring to my 7 blades to 4 flat adapters to power the light. It works without any blinking or whatever. I have it connected to my 17 Yukon XL without any issues as of yet.It appears to be sturdy, but I do not like the plastic outer part of the hitch step (the arm or part with the 3 holes that is inserted into the 2-inch hitch). PAY ATTENTION to the description: The 1.25 - 2 inch is that part I described in parenthesis. The 1.25 inch is the steel part, and the other .75 inch is a plastic shell that goes around the 1.25-inch steel. I do not know how sturdy it is when you connect one of those anti rattle clamps. I do not know if it will crack that plastic or not. It does come with two plastic shims, but I am not sure if it will hold if someone steps onto the hitch step. This is my issue about this item. I wish it did not have the plastic piece...I wish it was all steel. I will update when I actuall hook it up before my summer road trip. I love how it sits close to the vehicle instead of 12-15 inches from the rear bumper. As I mentioned, it has two plastic shims with two adhesives on the bottom of each shim to prevent the shims from slipping away and rattle control.Hooking it up is easy. It does not come with a trailer hitch lock. This was my other issue. When I inserted my 5/8 trailer hitch lock into the hole, it went through one side without any issues, but it would not go through the other end. I tried flipping it the opposite side, but it still had the same problem. I had to use my drill to shave off some of the plastic around the hole to let my trailer hitch lock go through. After doing that, I was finally able to connect it to see how it fit.

This bully/step/hitch saved my trucks butt literally.. I have a 2024 Toyota Tacoma barely 3,000 miles on it and someone rear ended me in bumper to bumper traffic. Thanks to this bully hitch my truck didn’t get so much as a scratch on it. I am so thankful I have this.
