Excellent quality baby and child flatware set
This is comparable quality to Oneida's adult flatware in the Chateau pattern, either 18/10 or 18/8 stainless which is top quality. My children and grandchildren all used Oneida baby flatware and it still looks great after all the years. It's sturdy and dishwasher safe and will last for generations under normal use. This set includes the infant feeding spoon, the baby/toddler short round-bowl spoon and short fork, and the larger child-sized knife, fork, and spoon. The infant feeding spoon is for baby's first foods fed by mom or dad; the others are for when baby begins to use a spoon or fork himself or herself. The three smallest pieces are the essentials imo, and I wish the baby 3-pc sets of those were still available. However, the full set that also includes the larger child sized pieces is very nice. Two differences from the Chateau and comparable Paul Revere sets I've ordered in the past (some from Oneida's website):This set is packaged in a black Oneida box inside another box, nice enough but not the old extremely nice presentation box. The pieces are each in a plastic sleeve but they are loose in the box now.The child-sized knife has a solid handle, not the hollow handle the older Chateau sets had and not like the adult Oneida flatware usually has. Personal preference, but I like the hollow handles on knives.

Perfect for little hands!
I had an old set of kid-sized flatware from when I was young and looked with no luck in several brick and mortar stores to try to add to that set. Since I knew Oneida was a great brand from previous experience, I thought this might be a good buy. It was a great decision.Pros:1. I love that this comes with several sizes. This is awesome as a set for one child, but it's great for multiple kids too! It's perfectly sized for my 18m old and 4 year old. They use these all the time.2. These are very durable. My kids throw and drop stuff...a lot. These have never bent or looked dinged up.3. The knife actually works pretty well while also not being too sharp. My 4yo can easily cut through fruit or bread.4. They aren't hideous and cartoony. I love that they are actual flatware. It's so hard to find that in kid-size now!Cons1. We didn't get much use out of the smallest spoon. It really is tiny. It'd be great if you spoon feed a small baby, but isn't useful if you're not feeding purees to a small baby. By the time mine were using spoons, that one was just too small to be useful.2. This set is almost too many pieces. I wish I could've found it with just the 3 large pieces or just the small fork and spoon. I didn't see that option anywhere on Amazon when I bought this or I probably would've just bought like 4 sets of the larger size because fairly soon my younger kid will be able to use the bigger one too and to buy more I'll have to get this whole set. Not a huge deal, just a bit annoying.3. I only saw like 2 styles available. I don't particularly care that they don't match my current adult-sized flatware, but some people might.Overall, these are great! I wish there were more styles available and an option to just by the larger 3-piece set, but I definitely would buy this again and we use it all the time.

Adorable!
Update 2020:My kids are now 9 and 11 and have decided they prefer to use the adult sized utensils, but I still use the child sized Moda utensils everyday, haha! The child size are perfect for eating desserts from small bowls and plates, and the little knives are useful as spreaders (butter, condiments in small bowls, etc). The small size gets rid of that annoying experience of the longer utensils falling out of, or accidentally being knocked out of a bowl or knocked off of a plate that is too small for the utensil’s length, knocking food or condiments onto the table or floor. After three years of use, the utensils still look great. I wash them in our dishwasher using various ‘eco friendly’ detergents, but have avoided any with citrus oils to prevent discoloration (this might have been a warning that came with the utensils). So go ahead and get the child sizes - definitely useful once kids are grown (at least for me).Original 2017 Review: I bought three different types of Oneida child flatware: Child Moda to match my own Moda flatware set (and replace our disintegrating Gerber Graduates), Child/Baby Chateau to match my mother’s Chateau flatware set to use when grandchildren visit, and Little Love Child/Baby as a baby gift for a sibling. I am thrilled! The pieces are beautiful, high quality and adorable when compared to the adult versions. Between the three types I purchased, the Moda is heaviest with Little Love a close second. The Chateau set is lighter and the daintiest - truly adorable (and the lighter weight should not be taken to mean it is lower in quality, just a more delicate design). The baby Chateau fork is to die for 😍. Super tiny. I highly recommend any of these sets. My kids are 6 and 8 and my motivation for purchasing the Moda Child was to give my kids useful knives - the adult size knives are really difficult for them to use, and I want them to be cutting up foods (like pancakes) for themselves. I plan on using the Child size spoons myself when eating ice cream out of small bowls 😄.

Oneida chateau 6 piece progress set
I’ve purchased this set before and it has always come with a display box. I’m a little disappointed that they did not come with display boxes since I am giving them as gifts.
