Exceptional!
Leo, not sure if this is your real name but, Boy , have you got this right! This kit is Amazing, yes, with a capital 'A'. Start with the packaging, each component individually boxed and well protected. A large instruction booklet in colour that details every step in the build process so vividly, I have had tons of kits and have never seen anything like this before. The body really IS made of Poplar and not Chinese Paulownia like so many misrepresented items for sale on line. The neck is top quality Hard Maple and very well made. The hardware kit is all individually wrapped and looks exceptional, even the chrome plating is faultless. I could go on and on but I must say, as a born cynic and Not easily impressed, I am Very Impressed! Value for money, 110%.

For the money it's a real bargain. Nothing special but make for a good project and they don't sound bad

Rock Star Guitar.
I can't believe how good this ps kit turned out. At this price it's a steal.I gave the frets a level and recrown, also rounded the ends off.Treated the neck with a few coats of tong oil. Added some leopard print vinyl wrap and Ernie Ball 10s.The built guitar intonated perfectly has low action and holds its tune.Highly recommend.

Excellent kit, shame about the customer care.
Firstly, I want to say that the build quality and the build experience was exceptional. Had the neck pick up worked this review would have had 5 stars, without question. However, the neck pick up does not work. What I wanted was a replacement pick up, after all the guitar was built, stained, oiled, and beautiful. What I was told was that the only option was to return that built guitar in return for another kit. That is rediculous, the pick up would cost pennies to replace, and I would not have to build another guitar. As it is I have had to buy a new pick up. Rediculous, the thing is of course that the new pick up will upgrade the guitar. I would have replaced the pick ups in a couple of years anyway, just not happy with the seller's response.

Great fun to do.
Painted the body and stained the .neck. Then put it together. It all goes together fine. Some work to do. Frets were uneven and needed filing, also some sharp edges. Neck needed adjustment. Not a big deal. Adjusted to stop fret buzz.Pickups are loud and treble.Once all the adjustments were done, this plays well and stays in tune. Never had a Floyd rose before but I really like it. Changing strings a bit more involved but once you get the hang of it, it's ok.This kit comes with shielding tape but. Instructions don't mention it. You need to Google to see how to use it. Easy to do but if you don't you will get constant buzzing when playing.I wasn't expecting much but have been pleasantly surprised.Love playing it so far.

Really solid mahogany body
Is a solid mahogany body. The neck I got was ok but needed a lot of fret leveling work.I decided to use the finish as isI bought better pickups than the ones in the kit but that was my choice. The coopper tape is great and makes a difference to the end resultOverall impressed

Generally poor quality
Overall poor quality and the tl;dr read here is the work required and cost to make this nice is probably out of reach for a beginner. Avoid unless you want a bigger project than advertised. The body bevel is uneven, heavily so on the front of the upper fin, but in general is not uniform and would require some work to even out. It is also a very shallow angle so a clearly defined edge won't be so easily acheived. The floyd post holes are out of round, though are properly spaced and will probably hold. The neck, is sadly probably one of the more horrible I've seen. The fret board radius is crooked, sloping over to the low E side, which will make getting a nice setup more difficult. Probably not too unexpected being a kit, but the neck also needs further shaping as is evidenced by the scarf joint looking very non-uniform over the radius of the back of the neck. Fret work is not very good with some frets not properly seated and sharp fret ends, though some fret work should be expected.I haven't properly inspected the hardware as in all honesty I won't be using any of it, but I did examine the floyd out of curiosity. It doesn't have knife edges so much as it has just cliff edges a good 1mm or so thick - there is no hope of this ever holding tune, it is junk.I have actually had two of these, and this is the second. The first the body was worse, and I did not inspect anything else before immediately arranging a return. The second being little better suggests this is a consistent problem, so I won't bother again.I'll probably still use the body, but only because it the plan was always for a heavy relic so I can probably just about work with the imperfections but that will be the only part I'll use and will retro fit a better neck.Giving 2 stars as it is at least cheap and a nice shape, ignoring the machining problems
