Best of Both Worlds
Get the best of both worlds with gas hob and electric fan oven. I particularly like the wok burner (which is also great for big frying pans) and the simmering burner. The controls are simple and it is a pleasure to cook on. Well built cooker should last a long time; it also looks great

Poor after sales service
We didn't buy this via amazon but hope this review helps other people.Like one of the other reviewers there was a very loud bang and the fan oven filled with black smoke after only 13 months. The force and heat of the blast also blew the thermal cut-out.Thinking that a £700 cooker should not go wrong within 13 months I tried to get help from the retailer then the company Glen Dimplex. The best Dimplex would do was supply me with so called 'free' parts if I paid them £118.80 .Dimplex seemed more than happy for me to go to trading standards probably because consumer law puts the onus on the retailer to deal with the problem.I sent a letter, drafted by trading standards, to the retailer, who very reluctantly paid for the parts.I changed the parts myself (heating element and thermal cut out) in order to get our oven working again asap, othewise it would have been out of order for a long time while trying to get the problem sorted by the retailer then the manufacturer. Not an easy job to do on this design, you have to take the back off.I won't be buying anything made by Dimplex again.

Recommend highly
I recently treated myself to one of these cookers (not from Amazon) and I absolutely love it. I live in a flat so design and space are at a premium; this is big enough to do the job, but compact enough to not overpower a small kitchen. It cooks beautifully and you have the advantage of having both gas and electric. I've seen some comments that it is a naus to light the gas hobs, but what is so onerous about waiting just a few seconds for it to catch fully and light? If that's all you have to complain about, it's a good cooker.

Don't buy this, its a lemon.
We've bought one of these a few years ago, and within a year it developed a terminal electrical fault. We complained, eventually got a replacement sent and again, about a year later, another electrical fault (this one leading to a loud bang and smoke escaping - not what you want out of a dual fuel cooker). Third one, a year or so later the inside of the oven (not used for anything unusual) was rusty, the thermostat rusted off, the fan and fan cover corroded. We needed extensive repairs. The inside of the oven is rusting. Again. I've never had a piece of kitchenware as unreliable, I wish we'd never bought one of these cookers. Never again.

Bad design
Bad design. After a while. Heat escapes from the top oven, due to the seal not going all the way round. Then you are left with a burn mark.
