The price seems reasonable to me for a quality solenoid valve.

How long after applying power does the timer start ? ex: might wire this to power on only with the compressor motor so doesn't drain all night

you can set the timer to drain anywhere from every few minutes, to every hour or so, and the timer can also be set from a few seconds to 15 seconds i believe.

Will this fit the Sanborn Black Max 20-gallon air compressor?

it should fit any comprssor that has a 1/4" NPT drain hole, or you can use adapters to get it to "fit" your drain plug hole.

How is this mounted, is there any kind of mounting bracket to hold it?

I installed the IR Edv 200 on my Quincy upright air compressor. I replaced the plumbing underneath the air compressor . I extended the plumbing out from underneath air compressor.I installed the IR Edv 200 on the end of the plumbing. There is no mounting bracket.
