Not sure, it MAY. I'd ask the company directly. It doesn't contain wheat and Wikipedia says Glucosamine "It is produced commercially by the hydrolysis of crustacean exoskeletons or, less commonly, by fermentation of a grain such as corn or wheat. "

I left it at room temp for weeks because I didn't realize it said to refrigerate after opening. I put in fridge but do you think it's spoiled already?

I have tried it both ways and I don't think it matters for me. My house stays within the limits, and a bottle only lasts a month anyway. I put it on the food and it the cats leave food to come back to hours later. I say if they didn't feel ill after it sitting in open air for 4 hours, then the stuff sealed in a bottle and stored out of sunlight is fine. It's a dietary supplement, not a vaccine or penicillin. I view it mostly as a legal requirement for those that might live in environments that could degrade the effectiveness... Like someone who lives in a shack on the beach in the tropics. Don't want them only getting two good weeks out of the bottle.

Product description says eligible for return, but when i try amazon says not eligible. is this your error or amazon's?

That is an Amazon thing. They say it is the seller, however if the item is fulfilled by amazon they do not allow returns especially when they are liquid.
