Spigen Tough Armor Designed for Galaxy Note 9 Case (2018) - Black

Short version? Amazing case. Best you can get that protects your phone, while also not being in the way.Long version? I have had this case for over 2 years now going on 3 for my note 9. Paired it with a tempered glass screen protector and its been a dream. I work in office as well as turning wrenches on the side and am just generally known for being tough on everything I own with no exception for my phone. I've thrown it, slammed it, dropped it off the roof, recorded video underwater, put it in the engine bay with a running engine to record video and diagnose a problem. You name it this phone case has been through the ringer. And nothing has cracked. No buttons torn, hell even the kickstand is still with me. All this protection while still looking sleek and not being too bulky. Fits easily going in and out of my pants, be it business or casual, and also has enough grip on it for me to not drop it but also not so much that it snags on pants when pulling it out. Its literally the perfect balance. Know the triangle rule? Pick 2 of 3. Protection, usability, and pricing. Idk how they did it but spigen nailed all 3. Solid 5 stars. My ONE GRIPE is the buttons. They're a little on the stiff side, but hey, that can also be a pro. You will hardly ever hit the buttons by accident C: oh and because amazon said to mention it, fingerprint reader is super easy to find and use with this case, the phone is easy to hold & manipulate and yes. It's durable AF. Literally rolled end over end on concrete and chucked the stylus out of the phone it hit so hard and it does not care. Several times in 2 years.

This is one of the rare cases where you get a product in the mail, have your expectations in check because you didn't pay much, and are blown out of the water by the quality. You get what you pay for, so I expected the product to look kinda cheesy and use some lower end materials in exchange for solid protection. I was fine for this trade off, I just needed something to put on my new Note 9. I couldn't have been more wrong. This case looks, feels, and performs better than most of the $50 cases I looked at in stores for a fraction of the price.Pros:* - High end materials look great and add good grip.* - Button covers actually make buttons more accurate.* - Bixby button cover designed in a way to prevent accidental pressing.* - Headphone port cutout is large enough for large headphone plugs.* - Case feels better than the phone does naked.* - Kickstand.* - Fits in official Samsung wireless charging dock with case on.* - Looks and feels better than more expensive, major brands.Con* - Kickstand feels like it will easily break.* - Kickstand can only be used in landscape mode (not a big issue).If you're on the fence about this cover, just buy it. I couldn't imagine anyone being disappointed in this case.

2+ months now using this case and I'm very happy with my purchase. For my last 3 phones I had bought Otter Box Defender cases due to there rugged design, quality, and warranty. But I did not want to spend upwards of $60.00 for case that I did not feel I absolutely needed. So I was hesitant at first to buy this case, after all I had just purchased a $1K smart phone. Case fits my Note 9 perfectly, and is screen protector friendly. Side buttons work flawlessly, and cut outs for charging port, speakers, S-Pin, headphone jack are big enough and yet still protect the phone. The kick stand is, as others kindly put it, cheap. Feels like it can break really easily, so use it sparingly. I was afraid the kick stand wouldn't stay closed and flush with rest of case and be accidentally torn off, but surprisingly it has a tight fit and does lay flush with rest of case when closed so it doesn't get snagged when placing in my pocket. It's also very light weight and easily fits in my pockets.

As always Spigen just makes a high quality case. I've had the tough armors on many of my different phones over the years and I am always impressed with the overall look and feel of their cases. The buttons feel great .better than they do on the phone without a case! Its weird I'm sure, but it is just so satisfying pushing the buttons on the Spigen case. Lol. The color matches my phone really well too (blue) the only issue I have, and it's more the phone than anything. I went from a note 5 to this note 9. And this note 9 is the first phone I've had with a curved, wrap around screen. While it looks cool (without a case), it just opens up more opportunity to break the screen. So now you have the case companies trying to make a case that sill highlights the beauty of the curved edge screen, but it really just leaves it in the open, unprotected, just waiting to be dropped. Thankfully I use glass screen protectors, because I did drop this phone....once. yup. The screen protector cracked. Thankfully my screen underneath was safe. So It used to be that the cases put a protective lip all the way around the screen, like on the apple 5c case. This was great. It did a great job protecting the screen. But with this new curved edge screen, the case only has a lip in the top and bottom of the screen. Not on the sides, where the curve is. I see this as a major protection issue. So while I love spigen cases, and I still think they are the best "feeling" ones out there, I now keep my phone in a leather wallet case. Atleast there's a flap that covers the screen, and is held in place with a magnet.

This note 9 case is awesome. I was forced to look for cases for my note 9 through online stores because they're no longer being sold in the regular markets. I ended up buying this one and I wasn't disappointed! This case looks and feels strong and sturdy. The port openings are very adequate, so that whatever the kind or the size of wires / extensions you're intending to use, you can use them just fine. I think this is a huge advantage any phone case should have. The integrated phone stand is both nice and effective. You don't wanna use it? No problem, you can just forget it's there without getting your grip affected. I would definitely buy another one as a spare in case anything happens to mine.

The Samsung Note 9 is not a cheap phone and I really can't afford to break it. I was willing to shell out for this case because i really need some relaible protection which preferably doesn't look too ugly. The phone is beautiful but protection is priority and Spigen is a well known brand from which I have purchased cases in the past and have always been satisified with the product. This case gives good protection and doesn't look too bad either. It isn't as big and voluminous as the otterbox case which does seem a bit excessive. I do take decent care of my phone. The only problem I have with Spigen is that they are expensive. But I guess when we spend that much on a phone we should be ready to give some protection money too !Pro1. Slim2.
