I picked up the MAXSHOT electric scooter because I wanted something lightweight and easy to carry, and it definitely delivers on that. It folds up in just a couple of seconds and barely takes up any space, which is perfect for commuting on the train and storing under my desk at work. The portability is honestly the biggest selling point—super convenient and not a hassle to bring along. As for quality, I was pleasantly surprised. Even though it’s small and light, it doesn’t feel cheap at all. The frame feels sturdy, the ride is smooth, and the brakes respond well. It’s great for quick trips around the neighborhood or getting across campus. The battery life is decent for a scooter this size, and overall it feels like a well-made product for everyday short-distance use. The only downside is the weight limit. This scooter is definitely meant for smaller riders. If you’re over 150 pounds, it’s probably not going to be comfortable or stable enough. I’m within the limit, so it works fine for me, but I can see how it wouldn’t be ideal for someone bigger. It’s a great little scooter for light riders, but larger folks will want something more robust.

Since I got this electric scooter I had lots of fun with it, I use it both for commute and fun rides. The product was assembled most of the parts when was delivered, it took me only about 10 minutes to fully assemble it. Also I was able to charge the battery in full quickly because it was half full when was arrived. The ride is very smooth and quiet with stable attraction on the road. The brake works really well too. It can provide a quick and smooth brake. Also, the battery life can last the description of the range when it fully charged. I can fold the scooter and put it in my car easily. I like take it with me to explore different national parks. It made my life much easier and enjoyable. Overall, the quality of this electric scooter is really great. Easy to assemble and can be folded to fit in my car easily. It is a great little machine both for commute and having fun.

I bought the MAXSHOT Electric Scooter for my son who’s in college, and it has already become one of the best purchases I’ve made for him. Between classes, work, and getting around campus, this scooter has completely changed his daily routine for the better. Here’s what we both love: 🛴 Great speed & power – The 350W/500W motor options and up to 22 mph are perfect for campus commuting. My son says it’s fast enough to get him everywhere quickly but still feels totally safe and controlled. 🔋 Long-lasting battery – The 21–28 mile range has been a game changer. He can go several days without charging and still make it across campus and around town without worry. 🛞 Different tire options – We opted for the larger tires, and he says the ride is smooth even on uneven sidewalks and bumpy campus paths. 💡 Sturdy & dependable – He’s hauling a backpack, laptop, and sometimes groceries, and this scooter handles it all without feeling cheap or flimsy. 🚗 Saves time (and parking headaches!) – Not having to fight for a parking spot or rely on shuttle schedules has been HUGE. He jokes that this scooter gets him to class faster than his friends who live closer to campus! Overall, this scooter has been worth every penny. I've had this for about a week now with little to moderate usage. I will say the e-scooter is nice if I use it just for standing. I honestly feel safer that way too (as I also ride with a bulky backpack and encounter slopes and uneven pavement in the city). I would recommend this to newbies to the e-scooter exp. and for adolescents (debatable because this is adult-sized and carry-weighted). The folding part is easy enough to do but is heavier than I thought to lug around. It is also smaller than I thought, especially with the seat I have little room to put my other foot comfortably (with a medium load backpack on). The reflective safety panels and the brake light and brake work well. The brakes are NOT gradual, it's like an immediate strong stop. The wheels are a good size and have allowed me to ride through 15 degree slopes as advertised, but I need some speed beforehand. I like the finger bell too since it's loud and clear and a necessity for sidewalk riding where permitted. A caveat: at my uni. it is laughable to see how many of these are copy and pasted e.g. I have this scooter, I look at another person's who has literally the same exact build but a different brand name on the footing base, we look at each other with raised eyebrows then scoot away. Even the controlling display is a copycat down to the sound. It is a very affordable scooter and the seat material itself is nice. However, I had issues with the mounting and it was unstable unless I really "arm and hammered" the screws in tight beyond movement—for the seat. Additionally, the features advertised were not as impressive as I had in mind. If you are wondering which: 1. The battery life massively decreases if you have it on the sport mode or anything above 15 MPH ride, will not stay in 21 mile range of total ride. Pair this with the light 'ON' and you basically have to charge it every night if you venture out frequently. This is one of those where the ECO mode gets you the advertised mileage. But to the seller's credit this is mentioned clearly in the product description, no hard feelings there. 2. The app features are underwhelming—true as in the advertisement for the app looks—and I found it mildly amusing to use. -2.1 The locking feature only works when the scooter is 'ON'. So yeah, you still need a physical lock for this sucker. The other sucky part is the app keeps requesting my location and forces me to enable my location to use the lock feature EVERY TIME. It is VERY annoying, even when I have it set as "allow while using app". I am particular about digital privacy & security in this increasingly chronically online culture. So, after doing my own investigation into the app and the company, I find this very upsetting for a feature that does NOT need location information to perform simple tasks (lock the scooter digitally) or measure of statistics; immediate red flag 🚩. My final verdict: good price-to-quality for something short-term and for starting out with an electric scooter but start with low-to-modest expectations of what the app features add (you can totally use it without the app). I see this wearing out fast with regular usage (teenagers would love this—I would've).

I’ve been using this electric scooter for a while now and I’m genuinely impressed. Acceleration is smooth, and it reaches around 22 mph, which is more than enough for commuting around the neighborhood or quick errands. It folds down easily and doesn’t take much trunk space, which makes it super convenient for storage. Overall, for the price, this scooter delivers excellent value. If you’re looking for a well-built, fast, and practical ride, this one is definitely worth it.

Adult scooter, however my 13 year old rides this all over town (with his new helmet!) The scooter goes pretty fast, but it is easy to control. Great headlight. Good quality for a great price. Very smooth ride. Stable. Easy to assemble. He loves that it has an app on his phone as well. This would be a great gift for anyone wanting one.

My daughter didn’t want to bring her bike to college and wanted a scooter. This one seems to fit the bill. We got it yesterday and tested it. It was near 100% charge out of the box. It was well packaged and took a photo. Box was slightly dinged up but no damage to the scooter. Out of the box, it was bigger than expected. It feels solid and nearly fully assembled. Only need to put 4 screws and ready to go. Came with a tool too but the tip of the tool had a burr or ding and didn’t engage on the hex bolt. No biggie, I have tools. Assembly time was just a few minutes. 5 minutes out of the box. App downloaded quickly. Road test. My daughter is about 5’8” and 120 lbs. she has ridden “manual” scooters before. So we started on the ECO mode. Was too slow for her. Went to the D mode and was a little faster. S mode was the fastest. She got up to 19 mph quickly. The brakes are strong to grip she said. She likes the S mode and use the throttle to adjust speed to her liking. My turn… I’m 5’11” and about 192 lbs. I started with the S mode. The ride feels smooth and comfortable. Bumps on the road we absorbed by the front and rear shocks. Cruising at 15-16 mph is fun. I topped at 19 mph and I wanted more speed. Overall… it’s a good quality and fun to ride especially at this price. It’s perfect for my daughter starting college. It’s light enough for her to bring up stairs and down. As for me, if I get one, I would probably get the 500w motor. If the supplier is listening… I would love to demo the heck out of it… hint hint 😁. Now I hope the durability and quality over time is good. I hope it’ll last at least a full year in college if not more.

Ordered this after my Hiboy S2 was stolen because it was a more affordable replacement. Took a week to ship. Set up was easy, rode 10 minutes to work and back for two weeks and the speed was great, battery lasted nicely, it's lightweight and easy to fold and carry. The brakes took a bit of breaking in, it braked very abruptly and aggressively at first to the point where I couldn't comfortably go down a hill because I felt like I would be thrown off. After a week or so, the brakes softened and I had the opposite problem, I felt as thought the brakes were not as strong on certain road textures. I would be going down a hill, fully squeezing the brake as far as it would go and the scooter would still be moving slowly. Thankfully I ride in a fairly residential area but was worried about how the brakes would handle if I ever needed to brake quite suddenly due to a car or other hazard. Wasn't a dealbreaker for me, but something to think about. I am returning this scooter because last week, the scooter died on me halfway home from work. The screen shut off, brake and throttle stopped working, just a total shutdown. It happened on flat ground on a sunny day, no inclines or weather issues that might've triggered an issue. Could not get it to turn back on and the battery had been at a near-full charge. Had to push the scooter all the way home. When I plugged it back in, it powered up with no issues and claimed to still be near full charge. Figured I'd try it for another week and see if it happened again. Well, it did. Once yesterday, and again today. Just a total shut off with no warning on a road I travel every day. Today it happened when I was going 10mph, I felt the engine power down while I was still holding the throttle. Scooter slowed, then the screen shut off. I am returning it and buying a replacement Hiboy S2, as they happen to be on sale today. Everyone else seems well pleased with their Maxshot and I could find almost nothing online of others having a similar issue, so I suspect and sincerely hope I was just sent a faulty scooter. I'm keeping it 3 stars because it seemed like a good, affordable, lightweight little scooter until it started shutting off on me, and I really need a scooter I can rely on since I need it to get to work. I might've asked for a replacement except I miss the double brake function of my old Hiboy and can afford it now with it being on sale. If you get this scooter, I hope it is more reliable for you than it was for me.
