THIS is the watch to BUY! I wouldn’t recommend any other automatic watch at this price point to anyone. Anything someone is knocking is likely because it’s “close to perfect” but close to perfect for $250 is a STEAL. I think the three main concerns were: 1. Timekeeping (losing +-30sec daily) 2. Glass material 3. Bracelet construction 1. Timekeeping is not an issue here at all. +10-15sec a day. Shouldn’t be any issue there. That’s basically perfect for a mechanical watch! 2. The hardlex Seiko uses looks great! It’s new, but I would bank on it being great! Overall, if it comes down to it, maybe subbing in some sapphire- shouldn’t break the bank! 3. Bracelet is good! I don’t see what all the fuss is about them being a certain way. Maybe I’m just not that picky! No snagging arm hair or anything like that! Overall, super satisfied by this purchase. Get this one!!

Regarding the seller: The watch arrived quickly and exactly as advertised. Regarding the watch. Look great. Perfect size for an average wrist. It's the kind of watch that can be dressed up or down depending on the band. Recommend that you do your research and know what you are getting regarding the glass/movement/accuracy. Myself, I am happy with it all. Took 2 days for the watch to break in. First day it ran kinda fast but then it settled in and it is more accurate than advertised.

The look of this watch in the stock photos is, to me, amazing. I've seen it cited as a "poor man's version" of watches several times its price, but I don’t get it: To me the Seiko exudes more practical refinement than the pieces it’s supposed to be competing against. In-person, it differs from my expectations in three ways: 1. Color 2. Size 3. Limited bracelet adjustment Only one of those has me questioning whether I want to hold onto it, but I'll dive into all three. COLOR. In the stock photos the face appears jet black. In real life, it is closer to charcoal. This is visible in some user photos, but I had mentally credited that to camera exposure. I ordered the black dial thinking it would provide better contrast to the numbers than would the blue version, for ultimately readability at a glance. Now I'm wishing I had the blue one to compare. SIZE. It is slightly larger than I had imagined. The case is thick enough to qualify as "chunky," but it's not a problem on the inside of my wrist. If I wore watches outside the wrist it might be more annoying, but I doubt it would be a problem. The overall footprint of the watch is a hair larger than I expected as well. Just enough to feel like it calls more attention than I wanted, or like it's leaning towards a large-print edition. Still, it's gorgeous, and I guess big watches are the fashion these days. BRACELET ADJUSTMENT. This is the one that actually troubles me a little. There is only one micro-adjustment on this bracelet. I seem to have lost the gamble with this: Using the tighter setting means the bracelet slides on my arm like I'm kid trying on dad's watch, but removing an extra link and using the looser micro-setting has my skin pulled just tight enough to start being uncomfortable. Aside from the adjustment, the clasp was a pleasant surprise. Based on the photos, I had feared it would resemble the good-looking but virtually unusable clasp on a cheaper automatic I had tried on. Instead, the Seiko's clasp is beautifully functional as a clasp - secure, yet easy to latch and unlatch. The only big disappointment is that, for the price tag, I had hoped to be able to get a better fit out of the bracelet.
