Tent exceeded expectations, but wish it came with a footprint
The tent was a bit confusing to setup the first time, but after reviewing a video or 2 on YouTube it became a straight forward process. I am 6'1" and I have just enough room to lay stretched out on my back, on a 2.5" mattress and with a pillow, and neither my feet or face touch the inner mesh wall of the tent. The second night of camping with it, I was caught in a very windy storm, and the tent was rock solid the whole time! I didn't get a whole lot of rain, so I can't comment on that. The vestibules are pretty spacious and sit up from the ground about 8-12" to allow plenty of ventilation. One weird thing is that the doors are not on the same end of the tent. One is by your head, and the other is by your partners feet. I would have rather had both doors on the same end.The only other gripe is that it seems like the floor of the tent would get holes in it pretty easily. The material doesn't seem very durable (probably to save weight) so I used a footprint from another 2 person tent I have. I plan to make one for this tent, but I wish one was included or available as an optional add-on.Overall, for the price you pay for this tent, you get a great value. It is lightweight (2.79lb for the 2 person), solid as a rock in the wind, has room for 2 people and their gear, and leaves you money to save on other items in your pack.

Good quality with several extras
Tent was received promptly with all components advertised and a few I didn't expect. There were instructions printed and attached to the rather nice compression stuff sack and there is a set up video on Youtube also. I took the tent outside and set it up. All pull out cords were already attached, the inner net tent was already attached to the rain fly. There were 9 nice, aluminum stakes; extra cordage to set up the inner net tent separately (this was a nice extra that I did not expect). All of the stitching was excellent. All of the pull out areas were bar-tacked (I did seam seal the bar-tacked areas). There was also a complete extra main pull out cord (also unexpected), just in case I need it. The zipper on the doors is only a one-way zipper (which is not a problem for me), and it works very smoothly. The color (yellow) is even with no weirdly colored areas. The floor is black & pretty thin material, but looked to be of good quality. The tent is very easy to set up; I set a trekking pole at around 122 to 125 cm, and that seems to work pretty well. I am just over 5 feet, so I have plenty of length; not sure if someone over 6 feet would find this a tight fit though. I can set up in it without feeling claustrophobic. This is not a tent to "live in", but would work well for fast & light overnight trips. I think, with care that any light-weight tent requires, that one could do long-distance hike and be content. So much cheaper than a Dyneema Composite fiber tent (up to $500 for a single- wall tent). This tent is double wall and, with a few tweaks (mostly using lighter stakes and a different stuff sack), I have the weight at just under 2 pounds. Nice looking, decently made, one-person tent for less than $100. I have to reserve giving 5 stars since I have not used the tent on a hike yet, but I expect that I will not be disappointed.

First impression(s) +
The tent just arrived today and I couldn't wait to set it up. (I had been using a Luxe Tempo Ultralight 1 person tent and found it to be too cramped with a very small vestibule.)Let me start by saying that there are a LOT of things to like about this tent. The reinforced corners of the tent floor; the reinforced tie out sections; the nice size of the vestibule; the intelligent guy lines (with "8" hooks) on the sides that pull the fly from the tent and at the same time the mesh tent from the frame, creating a little more space inside; the nice large vents front/rear; the TWO guy lines on the rear section that keep the fly from touching the tent and pull the tent further away from the poles; the curved fly that should help increase circulation/air flow and reduce condensation; and the reasonable weight and pack size.In fact, about the only thing that I didn't care for was the unusually light weight buckles that snap the rain fly on. They are the flimsiest rain fly buckles I've ever seen. I hope they last. Other than that, I think this tent will fit my needs perfectly. I wanted a 1 man tent with enough room for me to be able to sleep in and not touch the walls, and also have room for my 75L pack. This MIER tent looks like just what the doctor ordered. It'll be around 35 degrees F here tonight and I already have my sleeping pad, sleeping bag, and 2Go bivy set up for later on. All I need to do is bring my wool sleeping blanket out, snuggle inside my bag, and take 'er for a test drive. I will update as I have more experience with the product.UPDATE 12/6/18: I kept this tent up for almost 2 weeks straight (in my back yard). During that time there were nights when the temperature dropped into the low 20s; the winds reached peaks of 35+ mph; and when it rained it rained for at least 2 days straight at a time. There was ZERO water inside the tent; condensation was almost non-existent when I slept in it; the guy lines stayed taut for the most part the entire time; and the tent itself remained taut the entire time -- in short, the tent performed flawlessly. I had enough room for myself; I do not necessarily recommend this tent for 2 people. But that's not uncommon for "2 person tents". They are generally very good for 1 person and marginally workable for 2 people and their gear. 3 people tents are usually recommended for 2 people and their gear.
