Great for slicing homemade bread
Nice sturdy slicer. Purchased it to mainly slice homemade bread. Works perfectly. Very easy to use and clean. Have yet to use it on meat and cheese. But great product!

Great for sourdough bread maker
My wife makes sourdough bread and wanted a bread slicer. This does the job fantastic and saves time. Cuts with clean slices and makes great sandwich slices. As far as cutting meat, I am sure it does a great job. It so small and compact.

Has paid for itself
Bought this for my husband for Christmas. He loves it. He uses it frequently. The machine has already paid for itself in savings on deli purchases. My husband buys block cheese & cuts it himself, & freezes it. It cuts pretty good & seems sturdy. We do have to cut the items in batches; sometimes it can smell like it might be getting a little hot. But overall it is a good value for the money.

Works, but....
Received this nearly three weeks ago. When I opened the box I found the packing material dirty and greasy-looking, and the actual Slicer had fingerprints all over it, suggesting to me that it was used and/or returned. I contacted Amazon with questions and was directed to the company, whom I contacted and nearly three weeks later I have not received a response. I contacted the company through an address given by Amazon and directly through the company site when I registered the Slicer. I never received an acknowledgment of my registration, either. The Slicer is actually 180 Watts, my reason for ordering. It slices turkey ham nicely, with slight binding this morning, and an older, softer, Russett potato with even more binding. I did not notice binding when I first used it to slice the turkey ham roll. I used it again this morning, but decided to keep it and just not push it beyond its limit. Don't try to slice too fast. The blade is easily removed for cleaning, and the sliding table can be turned back to facilitate cleaning as well. I had to eyeball the width of the slice desired as the guage is a bit iffy, but adjustable. The gears are plastic, of course, and will no doubt strip if slicing is forced. (America has a love affair with plastic, ruining what could otherwise be a quality appliance.) The item has already dropped $12 in price since I purchased it, but that's life. Overall, it is a nice Slicer and should suit my purposes. I certainly am able to get more slices from the turkey ham roll because of the consistency of each slice compared to slicing with just a knife. I tried slicing an onion (so-so). My primary desire is to use it to slice luncheoned meats, and perhaps homemade bread. I wanted to know if a different blade was available, but have received no response to that question either. I doubt it.I'm disappointed at the response from Amazon, but even more so from not hearing from the company. I suspect quality control and customer service is not on the company's list or priorities.

Perfect slicer for at-home use
This may not be a top-notch model, but it serves my purpose at home to slice pork roll, leftover pot roast for sandwiches, or roast turkey breast. I didn't want to spend a lot of money, and since it is for small jobs, occasional use, this turned out to be a good choice in my preferred budget range. I had to make a spot for storing it off the counter, so it is hidden away in my buffet unit. I was so glad it was compact enough to fit in there. Not too difficult to clean. The parts come off, and the surfaces you can't submerge are easy to wipe clean. It says not to wash parts in dishwasher, so I use warm soapy water, and take extra caution washing the circular blade with its sharp edges.

Cheap/inefficient
The only reason I am even giving a 1 star is because it is a meat cutter and it does turn on. It smelled like I was overheating the plastic. Just turning it on the motor sounded like a dying engine. It was on a flat surface and was sliding all over the place as I tried to cut. I was cutting frozen meat into thin slices for hotpot and it was struggling to cut. I understand this isn't professional quality at a butcher but my goodness, I could have used my table saw and gotten more worthwhile results for the money I spent. If you aren't using s tiny peace of meat you basically have to use your hands to hold it, the holder is good for maybe a tiny block of cheese? The blade was moving so slow that I probably wouldn't have suffered any damage if I did accidentally touch it. Why make such a product unless soley advertising it to cut soft cheese and maybe bologna. Definitely not made to cut real meat or anything that doesn't melt right into the blade let alone on its own it sounded like turning the blade was too much effort for the motorMaybe I got a lemon but this was not worth it. Also not compact at all. For the size it takes up I could have just gotten a regular one but somehow it came up as a compact search easy to store.

Easy to use and clean
This meat slicer is a great introduction into having a slicer. I didn’t really want to spend a lot until I was sure we could use one. My first use was actually slicing some homemade sourdough bread with a too hard exterior. Definitely worked better than the electric knife while being able to get thinner, more consistent cuts. Used it to make shaved pork loin roasts for sandwiches. There’s a learning curve to figuring out how to hold what you’re slicing in order to get even cuts. Never did get it right on the shaved meat, but thicker meat slices are easier to keep consistent. It was very easy and relatively self explanatory to set up. The blade sharp and is easy to pull out to clean. The platform is meant to stay level with the blade when not in use significantly reducing the risk of accidentally cutting yourself. I’ve been very pleased so far.
