These things are amazing!
I was worried about these due to different online reviews, however after buying 2, one for each of my kids, I realized these things are the perfect starter for them. My kids can ride them on the side walks and get used to them before I take them to any trails or tracks. They can ride them at anytime of the day because they are freaking silent! That's the best park! We have an open space around the corner we ride in and they're able to hit 25mph. These things are fast! And surprisingly very well put together.I would suggest checking bolts everytime u ride, I did find the front disk came loose after our 3rd ride. A little lock tight and we are good to go.If you live in an HOA like I do, get these! They are the best. Also I would say the size of the 48v is good for 9 year olds to about 12. After that you'll need a taller one.

Very fun little bike
This has been so much fun. We haven’t had one issue with it and had for 18 months. My brother put it together for my son, so I don’t know the process. He did say the instructions weren’t very helpful, so you have to know what you’re doing. A couple of the plastic pieces were broken in shipping and brakes were kinked, but seller was very responsive and sent replacements. Bought when my son was 13 and he quickly outgrew. We’re ready to buy the next size up. 100% recommend.

Fun, but doesn't work 6 months in
We got this for our 8 yo son's birthday. It was an expensive gift, but he absolutely loved it!! We take him offroad and he's a big fan of dirt biking. It worked great for a few months. When on the fastest setting he could zip through the dirt even uphill. We researched a lot before buying this one. He had a Razor 350 previously, but it didn't last long as the battery failed after 8-9 months. He is big for his age and a good biker so we wanted to get him something better for his birthday. At first this Motec bike was great. But, unfortunately it was short lived, and now it won't charge. No matter how we charge it, the battery won't charge. The replacement batteries are really expensive and we should not need to be replaced after only a few months. So it's just sitting in our garage with an unhappy 8yo.When it was working I was a bit disappointed in the battery life. The range is 9 miles, but that's if you drive it straight for 9 miles. That would take about 30 minutes which is the advertised battery life. When it was working it held a charge for about 30 minutes. If your child uses it like mine did, to ride around to their friends' houses, and they forget to turn it off, they'll be very sad that it dies pretty quickly. For the price, I would recommend finding a different bike. While it's a fun bike, it doesn't last which for over $1000 is a huge disappointment.

Solid construction
I am 5'5 and wiegh 135 pounds so not super tall (but probably not the target audience for this bike) In the first week I have had the bike it charges fast runs great and has lots of tourqe for being stock. The bike hits 32 with me on it and the suspension is pretty soft but feels nice. For the price this bike is worth every dollar

Nice bike
Good power. I bought this for my son, but it moves my 200lb butt around fine. My one complaint is that the throttle requires more movement before the engine engages than I would expect. I have ridden various gas-powered motorcycles over the years, and you usually get power with a minimal amount of the throttle movement.Update:Last weekend the the battery did not want to charge. My son rode it aroud more and after that it decided to charge. Not sure what to think about that.My son managed to bend the key enough that it would not go into the ignition switch. Did a search for keyed switches and the exact model showed close to the top. Exact same key so I don't have to swap the switches. About $7.My son also managed to damage the charging port on the bike. I went to the local electronics store to find a new one. Found one that the charger fit just fine, but the new socket seems to be of a slightly larger diameter than the old one and would not fit. I ended up drilling a hole through one of the plastic side panels and mounted it there. I would think less likely to get damaged there in any case.

Worth every dollar
I got this to putt around the house but wow was I surprised the torque this lil monster has. I am 140lbs 27year old and this thing is so fun, maybe I’ll upgrade to electric and co power plant but as of now it’s perfect.
