Exceeds my expectations. Not an OG kukri of course but not flimsy and not cheaply made. D2 steel. Edge retention is there.

I recently purchased the “TIVOLI”sharp knife, and I'm impressed with its performance. The blade is made of high-carbon stainless steel, which provides excellent sharpness and durability. The ergonomic handle is comfortable to hold and provides precise control. The knife glides through vegetables and meat with ease, making meal prep a breeze. I've used it for several weeks now, and the sharpness has held up well. However, I do wish the handle was a bit more durable. Overall, I'd give this knife 5 stars out of 5. It's a great addition to my kitchen, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality sharp knife.

Worth buying Nepali style knife. Sturdy,built quality and easy to use for daily purposes. Very easy to keep safe and effective.

This kukri has an uneven bevel that would make sharpening awkward. The leather sheath is cheap fake leather that smells like chemicals and the decorative stamp actually cut through. The wooden handle and the metal quality is nice.

Looks great, feels good in the hand, sharp out of the box, beautiful sturdy sheath. Excellent value for the price.

Ho altri coltelli pesanti modello "kukri", ho visto questo e per Natale me lo sono regalato, perchè dichiara dimensioni giuste e buone prestazioni, e anche perchè ho visto una recensione che lo criticava, ma allegava una foto "fuori prospettiva" per cui fuorviante... Per cui, ho voluto toccare con mano. Bene, ancora non l'ho provato sul campo, ma devo dire che: - le fotografie del venditore sono ESATTE, quella della recensione ERRATE (scusate la luce riflessa nella mia foto); - le proporzioni sono quelle dette dal venditore, ossia lama di più di 23 cm e manico da circa 11 cm; - ha un buon peso, con bilanciamento in avanti verso la lama per migliorare il colpo; - per cui, recensione fuorviante: ha le proporzioni e le dimensioni di un buon coltello per uso pesante; - il manico è un po' corto, ho le mani grandi e mi sta giusto al limite. Però è nel canone "kukri", ossia un po' corto, con la fine più grossa per evitare "sfugga in avanti", e un po' carente se si devono dare dei colpi "di punta" (la mano potrebbe scivolare in avanti...). Più che gli incavi per le dita sarebbe stato meglio ingrandire la parte del manico vicino alla lama... è brutto ma efficace (un kukri nepalese del 1916 che ho usato per anni è fatto così); - foro nel manico: avere un foro non è nel canone "kukri"; - il fodero è similpelle, ma mi pare abbastanza robusto, e l'inserimento della lama è abbastanza facile (...è curva...); - profilatura della lama: diciamo è un saber ground con convex edge, dovrebbe tagliare bene ed essere adatto anche al bushcraft (ok, è un po' grande...), però se è acciaio D2 a 61 HRc un convex edge potrebbe essere debole e scheggiarsi se vado in torsione o do colpi forti usandolo per spaccare legna secca... certo è molto meglio se devo tagliare roba fresca; - spessore e dimensione della lama: ottimi per lavori pesanti, è una barra di acciaio spessa 5 mm e alta quasi 4 cm per quasi tutta la sua lunghezza. Salvo errori di tempra o fallature del metallo o usi tipo "faccio leva con la punta" non teme nulla; - affilatura e sua durata: mi pare arrivi ben affilato, ho fatto qualche test su qualche materiale (vegetali, carne, ... peli...) e li ha superati bene. Non è da usare per radersi, è per usi pesanti, per cui non deve essere un bisturi. Vedremo quanto dura; - ho provato ad affilarlo meglio, e potrebbe essere davvero 61 HRC: a mano è difficile, devo usare il kit con morsa e barra diamantata ad inclinazione fissa. Per cui, gran bel coltello, particolari curati, fodero OK. Vediamo quanto tiene il filo. Seguiranno aggiornamenti.

Das Messer gefällt mir sehr, es liegt gut in der Hand und ist Stabil. Der Feuerstahl und das Schlüsselset ist ebenfalls aus gutem Material und ordentlich verarbeitet. Die Bilder sprechen für sich

Premesso che non sono un esperto, però la qualità è molto buona. Il coltello senza fodero pesa 445 grammi (full tang), lo spessore della lama è 5 mm come da descrizione. Si impugna bene. Se proprio devo fare qualche critica il manico in legno è ben fatto ma è molto liscio quindi la presa secondo me non è salda, magari con delle scanalature per le dita sarebbe stata più salda. Poi, ma ripeto non sono un esperto, la lama è molto lunga e pesante e mi sembra che il coltello sia sbilanciato. Sono ovviamente piccole pecche ma il rapporto qualità prezzo è da 5 stelle! Ah dimenticavo rimettere il coltello nel fordero non è proprio smart...forse per via della forma....
