I've had this for about 18 months now, and its not bad, it has lots of storage space, pockets inside and out for all my utensils, but the main issue I have is that the knives aren't held secure by the velcro. I use blade guards on all my knives and there isn't enough space between them for the velcro to attatch to the backing, plus the sides are made of a soft material so there is nothing firm to hold things in place, everything slides into a pile. It might work better without the blade guards, but I use japanese knives and they're far more prone to chipping than softer european style knives. I would say this is fine for less expensive and/or softer metal blades, but will likely lead to chipping on the harder metals that you get with japanese knives.
