Misinformation and some questionable ingredients--not strict keto

I got a free copy from ARC in exchange for an unbiased review. Reading through the introduction of the book I found a few errors and misinformation. Keto is not high protein. It is moderate protein. Too much protein will cause one to stall on weight loss. (Which should be mentioned for those trying to lose weight) A few of the ingredients used in some of the recipes are considered too high in carbs or natural sugars in the keto community. An example would be carrots and wheat gluten. I also cross checked few of the recipes in a couple of food tracker apps to verify the macros and I didn't get the same numbers as posted. Don't get me wrong. Most of these recipes sound delicious, but some of the ingredients cant be bought at the local Walmart. If you're looking for recipes that are not found on Pinterest and aren't every day boring this might be for you.

Disappointing

I think I will continue to collect recipes elsewhere and put in a notebook. The net carbs in most of these were too high for a beginner and the ingredients are not found in average kitchens.

Good books for either the beginner or experienced smoothie maker. Some unusual combinations that are surprisingly good.

Good recipes - nice variety

I received an ARC of the book in exchange for my honest opinion.I found the variety of recipes and ingredients pleasant. The couple of recipes I tried turned out very well and were easy to follow. In fact, I'd say the vast majority of the recipes seem well written and easy to follow. Glad I added this to my kitchen library!

I love the information in this book! The recipes are very cook friendly and delicious! I recommend this book for those in search of energized life style changing healthy eating habits!

Great choices from sweet to savory

I liked that I could get most of the ingredients easily. It helped me to prepare some of the items ahead of time so I could make a quick breakfast.

Fantastic start!

The recipes are easy to follow and if you lack an ingredient, easy to substitute. My husband says he feels like he's eating at a 5 star restaurant!

Worst cookbook I have ever owned!

I am incredibly disappointed with this cookbook, 500 Keto Diet Recipes by Jamie Stewart. Below, you will find some reasons why.1. A lot of the ingredients are NOT ones you would have on-hand nor are some of them easy to find, even though page 7 indicates they are.2. Ketogenic diet or not, no one should be listing beef hot dogs and bologna (pork, beef, or chicken) as "ultimate" foods for that diet. These processed meats are very unhealthy.3. The contradictions and outrageous grammatical errors make me wonder if anyone proofread this before publishing, or were they in too much of a hurry to hitch their cart to the keto bandwagon?4. There is no index at the back of the book, so you cannot simply locate recipes by a main ingredient nor by name. Even the recipe listing at the beginning of each chapter is not in alphabetical order, so if you know you liked XX recipe, you need to remember the page number in order to find it easily. The book seems very disorganized to me, as if very little thought was put into its layout.5. Multiple recipes have ingredients which are not recommended for a ketogenic diet (such as an apple-based dessert).I wish I had never purchased this book. If I had been in a store and able to flip through the book, I most definitely would have chosen a different ketogenic cookbook.

This book assumes you have no brain.

The title should be "Condescending Keto Diet Recipes for Dummies". For example one of the 500 recipes is: "Bacon Chips". Instructions: "Cut strips of bacon into squares - fry until crispy - enjoy - yum yum!" Shame on me for spending money on this next Sally Ann donation. What a brainless purchase it was!
