Healthier base, reasonable taste
I bought these because I wanted to make a pizza free from ultra-processed ingredients. Biona's organic bases don't contain emulsifiers, flavourings or preservatives. They're also part wholemeal flour (although an equal part white flour), so healthier than bases made entirely from processed flour.The taste is pretty good, but if you follow the cooking instructions the bases come out very dry. So I got round this by giving them a good basting with water on both sides, which looses them up. Then baste a bit of olive oil to the top as suggested, then add your toppings and into the oven. That way the base comes out much softer.
