Mad Rock Lifeguard Belay red 2021 safety climbing accessories

Used for top rope belay and self ascent. Works efficiently, and I like the size. Partner uses grisgris, and they're operationally nearly identical so vacillating is not an issue. Currently running 11mm phenom through it and it runs like butter. I also have a safeguard which I prefer for work at height and lanyard applications (photo shows red - lifeguard, black - safeguard). If you intend to work at height, this will certainly suffice, but the safeguard may be a more viable option. Really depends on personal preference, skillsets and accompanying equipment. Also want to commend MR customer service. While this Amazon model is through a distributor, just FYI if you have a question and need to contact Mad Rock, just email them and they are super quick, friendly, and helpful. I got immediate assistance.

相手のロープが10mm以上で劣化していると使いづらいですが、通常の使用範囲だとビレイはATCと、そう変わりません。 まだ外では使用していませんが、急いで出されるとロープぱ出にくく、推奨しません。

Ich wollte gerne einen Halbautomaten aber nicht das klobige grigri. Das lifeguard war da die perfekte Alternative. Am Anfang war das ablassen etwas langsam weil der hebel mit mehr Kraft gezogen werden muss als beim grigri+ mit dem ich es vergleichen konnte. Man gewöhnt sich aber schnell dran und jetzt klappt es ebenso gut.

Ich Kletter auf Bäumen und sicher mich damit ab es funktioniert super bei zwei kleinen Stürzen ist das sicherungsgerät echt Super schnell 👍

I work with a Search and Rescue rope rescue group. We use these type of devices for personal descent and ascent (progress capture). I also own a GriGri from Petzl (which I love, and still use for a lot of things). This is a tiny, stripped down version. GREAT if weight savings is super important. Since I end up doing a lot of hiking on a search (and in most cases wont even need any climbing gear) light weight is super helpful to me. I trust this device implicitly and would gladly recommend it to anyone who needs a tool such as this.
