It takes a very long time to heat up. So be prepared for that. If you know that ahead of time- I feel like you should be fine … it took more than an hour to brew

I am disappointed given how high this item is rated. Bought this for large family parties to brew tea. 1) this says 100 cups but doesn't spell out it's a 5 oz cup. I wish the product description spelled that out. It's clearly written in the instruction manual but if you don't do the math before hand to convert the liters to ozs you can be misled. 2) The water gauge in front seems to trap the water in there like a vacuum. After the brew cycle the water remained clear so I was freaking out. I opened the top and saw the tea bags in the coffee filter were clearly brewed. I dispensed tea but the gauge never really reflected the color of the brewed tea so that threw me off. Worse! Cleaning it is was difficult! Water got trapped in the house and it is not easy to clean out? I had to make several attempts to flush out the pale tea colored water out of there. It worries me tea could be trapped in there until the next time I used it 3) This heats up hot! You will need to have oven mitts on hand if you intend to shift its location after brewing. Please plan ahead. I read the instructions carefully so I was prepared to handle the hot urn. Overall it did the job but frustrated by the water gauge that traps water in it! This part should have been engineered better.
