They’re climbing up, up, up, up…
The media could not be loaded. ***EDIT: 14 July 2025: I’ve been meaning to update my review, and rating as my seeds started sprouting within a couple of days of putting them in the propagation station (HIGHLY recommend this product - see my review for product details, it pairs nicely with these seeds and sprouts your orchid seeds quickly! )I was in the process of moving so I didn’t have the time to document their growth each day, however, you can see the progress in my pic and video I’ve added to this review. What a steal of a deal to receive so many orchid seeds, and in such a wide variety for this price. I’ll be giving away a ton of orchids as gifts coming up soon I'm imagining. If you love orchids, you owe it to yourself to get these seeds and grow your own. It’s a beautiful process to watch and im so glad I got these.4 July 2025: My rating is for the sheer volume & variety of seeds received for such an incredibly low price. Without experiencing success with growing an orchid - yet, I’m presuming out of the large quantity, this is a numbers game. The current pictures show my second attempt at sprouting these seeds. The current pictures are of 2-day old seeds, & 2-week old willow cuttings. I’ve stepped up the germination process through purchasing Weeping Willow Cuttings (sold here on Amazon too. Please see my other review), as the “Willow water” is a known rooting hormone which I thought might help the germination process for my Orchid seeds because I haven’t experienced success otherwise. In the image shown of my seeds in the propagation station with grow lights, I’ve got one seed that sunk to the bottom and the other see is floating to the top. I’ve given up in my search to determine whether either position means anything as nobody on the internet agrees on this topic. I scarified all the seeds I’ve attempted to germinate and thus far none have sprouted. That does not equate to your luck with this endeavor. There are a ton of people on YouTube who’ve been wildly successful and they’ve done less than I have. Perhaps my AC room temperature is too low? Idk. Im no quitter, and I have a lot of seeds to continue this experiment on, plus I just ordered a few new propagation stations to test more seed out in. I also have grow lights coming soon so I’ll report back any progress 🤞…once that happens. 🙏🏻 If you’ve ever wanted to try and grow orchids, this box is your chance to try it out at a great price ($17.99). You have hundreds of seeds to get it right and surely one of these tactics will work soon. I promise to report back my success and the steps I took to achieve success once that happens. Until then, YouTube is my growing strange (to me) plants, friend.

Not scarified! Booklet says they are.
The description (both on Amazon and on the packed instruction booklet) said the 300 seeds were already scarified. They weren't. I wrote the seller about it andn ow the information about them being scarified has disappeared from the online description. But, I still have it on the booklet. I wanted to shop this seller because there was a note that said this was a "small business" seller. I'm just hoping I have better luck with the growing process because some of these seeds will be given as gifts. Will update in a few weeks.

Finally, SOME germination. Seeds weren't scarified as stated in packet instructions/note.
UPDATE: I started a new batch of seeds, and lo and behold, I had a few start growing. I soaked in HOT water for a few days, changing the water daily, and after probably 3 or 4 days, some of the seeds were soft enough to scarify. Right after I did that, I saw growth. In the second batch, I started about 20 seeds, and in that batch, I had 5 grow. FIVE. Out of 20. The ones that didn't grow didn't soften enough for me to scarify. I did nothing with them but soak in hot water. I'm still disappointed because I would like more than 5 lotus flowers growing in my pond. However, the ones that ARE growing - holy roots, Batman! The amount of roots these things put out is insane. They need a deep and wide bowl, if not a big body of water, for each seed. Give them plenty of room and they'll take it all up. I am looking forward to seeing what kinds of flowers will grow from the seeds - I didn't mark them as to which variety the seeds were from.I have a pond in my front yard and was thinking that lotus flowers would beautify it. This package comes with 15 different types of lotus flower seeds, 15 of each type to equal 300 seeds. That's a LOT of lotus seeds! The price was $18.99, which seems about right for lotus seeds...a plant not easily grown or widely available for purchase. Before purchasing these seeds, I read up online about care, germination, starting seeds, etc. I learned that lotus seeds need to be soaked, scarified (a small nick in the shell of the seed to let water in), and then left in a big bowl to germinate, after which they can be moved to bigger waters. When this package arrived, I read through the pamphlet included, which stated that the seeds were already scarified and ready to just be soaked and germinated. I soaked the seeds in HOT water for 6+ hours, and did water changes each day for a week. After the first week, it didn't look like the seeds were changing at all, so I tried nicking/scarifying them myself to see if I could get growth/germination. I still did water changes every day, and kept watching for any changes in the seeds. Nothing. Now, two weeks later, these seeds still look the same way they did when I took them out of the package, save for a couple that swelled up and actually got softer. (I should mention that the seeds were hard as rocks right out of the package, and I couldn't scarify them until they'd been soaked properly...and even then, out of 15 seeds I started, I could only really scarify 4 or 5.) I continued soaking the seeds, and still, no change.I am disappointed with these seeds because I was really excited to grow some lotus flowers. The videos on social media make it look so easy to grow lotus flowers, but in reality, I think if you want to actually grow them, you'll need to spend top dollar on good quality seeds.I'm going to try starting over with another batch of seeds...taking what I've learned and applying it the best I can. For right now though, I give this product 1 star (zero if I could).

They grow!
Most of the seeds I put in water have spouted and are growing. Good viable seeds. I hope I get the flower colors that are on the pictures.

They’re Sprouting!
These seed pods are presented in a box, with each variety of lotus in its own colorful envelope. Each envelope has a colorful printed image of the flower on the outside. These are very easy to grow. Put some seeds in room temperature water, and change every day until seeds begin to sprout.Once sprouted, you can transplant into soil. If growing to place in a pond, or aquarium, plant in a pot with the soil netted, and a slit cut through for the growing lotus stem. The fact that these seeds sprouted quickly, and are growing well, shows the high quality of the seeds. The planting options are many, and so far each seed pod has functioned as advertised. The quality, and amount that you receive, make these a terrific value for the price.
