Orthofeet 481 Men's Comfort Diabetic Therapeutic Extra Depth Boot

I ordered these shoes for my husband. He has several problems with his feet, the worst being hammertoe. His juob requires that he is on his feet 9 hours a day. He has always came home complaining about his feet hurting. He has tried several kinds of shoes over the years and mostly, he has not been satisfied with them. A few he has not even been able to tolerate wearing at all because the pain was too great! I finally took matters in my own hands and began looking for some comfortable shoes for him! I found these shoes and ordered him a pair and he loves them! The toe box is wide enough that it don't put pressure on his hammertoe. He is walking better and feels better! He says they are the best work shoes that he has ever had and there was no break-in period of time. These are okay when you have your pants covering the tops. I'm into computers so we're supposed to wear these types of shoes...right?I've only had them for about a month and they are already showing signs of wear (4 stars).They are very comfortable and I'm on my feet most of the day. Even by the end of the day my feet are feeling good.I have orthopedic insoles that are about 5/16 thick (6mm) and they fit in these boot without any problems. The insoles come out easy as I switch them to other shoes from time to time.I would recommend these boot to others (surprise! no one else has asked about them).

The shoes are comfortable and I do like them, however the left shoe has a DEFECT the section of leather under the lace after waking not to much , shift toward the left all the time, the right shoe is perfect dose not have the problem. See photos. will apreciate if you consider replacing this shoe. I just since I do not use the boots to much had forgot the send this message.Please advise. For the premium price I pay for this boots I consider my pair have a defective shoe.Advise thanks. Will be happy to returned the pair and have them replace, more likely since is a defect this problem will be present in a Bach of boots/shoes.

Update: The problem with the tongue of the Boots is present on both boots all the time. The tongue on the left boot is always slipping down to the left. The Tongue on the right boot is always slipping down to the right. It will drive you crazy like it is driving me crazy. Very uncomfortable.Also the padding around the top of the boots has already torn. I alternate my footwear every day so I am quite disappointed that this has happened to these boots already. Especially since I paid good money for these boots and also another pair of Ortho Feet Sneakers.Love the comfortable feel and the way that my feet feel so much better wearing these. Only negative is that the damm tongue of the shoe does not stay in place. It always slips down to the left. That drives me crazy. Always bending down and pulling the tongue back up to the middle of the shoe. Maybe I got a defective pair as far as the Tongue is concerned.

I purchased these shoes based on the ratings and testimonials of othe buyers. I know better but I shoulda done more research. First off I am about 250 lbs and I’m a mechanic that’s up on my feet for 10 hours on a concrete floor. When I received the $125 shoes I first noticed the tag on the tongue was an iron on and not sewn, that to me shows quality. Then I noticed the big black letters that said China and I knew I got ripped off. With that being said I like the inserts that were for a good fit. The first week I wore them I noticed my feet and knees didn’t hurt as bad when my day was finished, so that right there made me satisfied. Now I’m on my third week of wearing them and they’re starting to break down, $20 Wal Mart shoes don’t even break down in 3 weeks. I’m a bit pissed about it but I shoulda done more research. $120 bucks down the drain.

This is a very comfortable shoe with good heel padding. My only complaint, is the tongue will not stay in place. Regardless of how tightly I lace the shoes, after just a few minutes of walking around the tongue slides down to the side of my foot. This problem could easily be cured by adding a loop on the tongue to run the laces through. It sounds like a small issue, but actually has a large impact on the comfort of the shoes. For this reason, I wouldn’t buy them again.

I bought the Orthofeet boots for my uncle. He has diabetes and partial numbness in his feet. This is his second pair of the Orthofeet boots and he only wants to wear them and no other shoes. His feet are so much happier with the Orthofeet boots. I'll be getting him a pair of the Orthofeet tie-up athletic shoes in the future. I'm sure he'll like those, too. Quality brand, smart style. Inner soles are super comftable. I loved the light weight of the shoe. Anti slip is nice, well built and nice to walk in comfort. Additionally, Nice feel on the foot regarding stability.
