Anyone receive this in a silver bag, I did?

Farmer Brothers is transitioning into foil bags for all of their coffees. A letter from Farmer Brothers should be included in any orders from us stating the following:

"To our valued customers,

We want to inform you of a coffee packaging change for some of the products you currently purchase today. A number of coffee products under various brands packaged in pre-printed film will transition to a plain silver or gold film with the required product information thermally printed on the outside of each bag. Not only does this change support our sustainability efforts, but more importantly creates manufacturing flexibility that results in our ability to service your needs more effectively. This type of packaging is common in the coffee industry.

Over the next several months, you will notice the film change take place for several of our DSD food-service brands. Decaf coffees will be packaged in gold film and all other in the silver film.

Those brands are listed below:
• Farmer Brothers® 
• Superior®
• Cain’s®
• McGarveyTM

Please be patient as we run out of existing film inventory and make this packaging change over time. We expect to make the full transition by the end of the year. Note the quality and blend you expect from these great products does not change. This is simply a packaging change."

How will I know if the beans are fresh or been sitting on the shelf for months?

We (The Beverage Gourmet) gets fresh shipments in on a weekly basis. Our coffee has not sat on our shelves for months. We don't order in excess inventory that will sit around. We order what we need so the product we send out is fresh. Hope that is helpful

Is there a difference in the freshness if i order from amazon versus farmer brothers directly?

I have been ordering this coffee for a few years and always thought it a had a nice fresh flavor. Order some and find out.

Why didn't my order for farmer bros. whole bean coffee - 5 lb. premium blend didn't have premium written on the bag?

Accepted Answer

If you ordered directly from Farmer Brothers, it should have appeared just as the image does in our listing. I'd suggest you look at the UPC Code on the back of the bag to make sure it is the same product. The UPC Code should be:  8 40825 00020 1

If the bag has a different UPC Code, you received a different product. You should reach out to the seller who provided you with that product to make sure you get the product you wanted to order. (You can find the seller by going into your Orders section.)
