ACADEMYJagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer Late Version Military Land Vehicle Model Building Kit

This kit was a joy to build! Went together with ease and no flash at all. I like the photo-etch grill and the paint masks that were included. Nice weekend build and a detailed kit for the money.

Good instructions, sequence is good. Plastic is great, no flash, not brittle, easy fitting, no need for putty. Plastic was a little soft, so trimming should be done carefully to disallow gouging. Bonuses: photo etched grill, 3 choices of barrel, 3 choices of idler wheel, masking stencils for camo pattern, tracks are large, med and individual pieces which combine well if you follow the instructions.

Excellent kit. Goes together very well. Really like the link and length tracks...not to many individual links to work on. Recommend that you view Andy Hobby HQ on YouTube for his build of this specific model.

This is my first ACADEMY model kit and I have been doing quite a few TANKS since the Covit lockdown. Don't get me wrong this is a highly detailed and accurate kit with REALLY good extras like photo etched parts and even colored string to makes tow-cables. But the ONE detail I didn't know about was the tank tracks are made of plastic molded pieces that need to be glued together. After my last model kit with these proved worse than I hoped for I really enjoyed the Tamiya molded rubber one-piece tracks. Sadly we are back to difficult assembly and Academy didn't even offer a track template as part of the sprues to help build it like the Tamiya 1:48 scale did.The addition of a masking template material to assist with the painting was a huge boost. So now I am torn; Academy sense of details Vs easier assembly???Perhaps I will return upon completion to add finished photos.

I had to decide whether to buy this or the Tamiya kit of the same tank. I decided to buy this kit since it had photo etched grille, individual track links and masking kit for the camo. The kit spurs are very clean no major flash 0r seam issues and AWESOME detail. Looks like a simple build, nice weekend project. The directions are not bad, not as nice to follow as Tamiya kits but nice. The camo masking process looks a bit complicated, but i think i got it figured out.. I will build it soon and update review when done..

A bit dated, but really good product

One of my favorite models. I got it for a good price and enjoyed building it more than most of my other models. Not a long or complicated build -but that is more because it is a small vehicle that the model being simplistic. Unlike Tamiya models, this set has figures that are accurate to the 1:35 scale. I recommend it.
