Modified them
Very easy to modify, a few passes on 120 grit sandpaper worked to fit. Modified them to fit a old craftsman rotary tool. Model #572610530. Variable Speed. My dad bought this for me when I was young, 30 years ago. For sentimental value I had to fix it. Works great now.

Short springs but carbon brushes are fine
springs were too short for my application but the quality was fine

great simple solution
was able to change these in food processor and returned to full working condition

High Resistance
These are terrible brushes. The resistance is >10ohms. They melted my brush holder.

they did not fit the space, as they were too small & got used up quickly
the springs came loose from the brushes & were in the way after that
