Erm, by the way, Jim Rockford's father was Jim Rockford's other in matters of law and order (his conscience, if you will)...It's a case of feel good tv - what the American nation is famous for. And if you are a purist re: how tv shows are made and who they are created by etc - you are probably a dyed in the wool futurist or modernista who enjoys his Jan Hammer and Giovanni Giorgio Moroder compositions. Not to mention slick clobber which harks back to halcyon days of boating on the great swamplands of the Florida pan handle.I really enjoyed such tv when I was young. But that was due to my innate enjoyment of fantastical American tv - which has certainly died a death these past few decades.If you are familiar with the obligatory cops versus robbers set-up you won't need too much persuading where being asked to sit down and engage with this series is concerned. As for enjoying Miami Vice - well, that's up to you...The crocodile was an allegorical nod toward successful sexual conquests, wasn't it? Maybe there's a moral in all of that - but I can't define it... - Regards JPS

Brilliant season shame it dropped in quality after the first season as second was good third was garbage forth was nothing really of note and fifth was OK but think the damage was done it had to end but in my eyes should of really stopped after the first episode of season three. Any way where in an era where your Miami vices , a teams and knight riders are seen as to tame for viewers of today but those seasons also do what i think can not be matched and that is the way they build the cast as a family each as good and interesting as the next and the arrival of Edward James Olmos completes that when he arrives as lieutenant Castillo which is funny as he only really say like five lines an episode. Do me a favor buy watch and will not be dissapointed with so many must watch episodes including brothers keeper , one-eye Jack,Evan and Lombard. £10 you wont regret it anything lower you be fool not to have also did I forget to mention Crockett owns a pet Alligator named Elvis mad I know.

Was too young to enjoy MV when it was on UK screens, must have only been aged 9. Thanks to ‘Sniff and Smith’ MV has brought back many great memories of fine acting, fashion and Ferraris.

Excellent episode

During the period that these made for TV movies were produced we had not seen anything like them before.However, with time they appear a little dated and the characters hold little by way of personality. In fact I found most of them boorish apart from the police lieutenant.In a way I wished that I had not purchased the series as the memories form `back-in-the-day' were good. Watching these again makes me realise that we should never look back but move forward.All in all, some nostalgia but a considerable amount of flakiness.

Super series, and great value as a Kindle download for so many episodes. My only issue is that 2 of the episodes on this format (including the iconic "Evan") are inexplicably dubbed into German with no way of changing it back into English, and the final episode has the video lagging behind the audio by probably 20 seconds which makes it unwatchable. A poor QC flaw on an otherwise flawless TV series.

Soundtrack is superb, story is superb. Great Series.

(from J wear) I bought this item after watching an episode that came free wth the daily mirror i think it is a briliant choice if you like 80s music like Phil collins and Cyndi lauper as there music is in a couple of episodes. its also got on the last disc a interview with jan hammer who did the music. for the series the episodes are 3 quarters of an hour so one or two a day will keep you going for at least a month. breathtaking police series nothing can beat this, buy it you wont regret it.

I bought this season a few weeks ago...and within 3 episodes I found myself off to the store to buy the complete set! This show was/is awesome! As I got ready for the first 2-hour episode I felt my heart pound...and then...the opening music...memories came pouring back. This show had everything...fast cars...drugs...rock'n'roll...good acting...a little cheese...but it was the 80's right? If you were a fan of this show...get it. It's worth every penny to go back in time and remember all the episodes! Crockett and Tubbs have instant chemistry...and the rest of the vice team fit in perfectly (once the Lt is changed to Edward James Olmos). This is solid quality viewing!

The first season of Miami Vice was great television viewing. It was special for me as I was never able to see it when it originally aired
