Sound Appeal Outdoor Rock Speakers Canyon Sandstone 8.0 inch - POP RoK (Pair)

Upfront a very recent purchase so I cant speak to longevity.I have a good sized backyard and have gone through a few brands of outdoor rated speakers in the past. Until recently that consisted of deck mounted speakers and the sound (clarity and volume levels) were okay at best. This year I set my sights on better overall sound, both overall clarity with highs and good tight base. I was also looking for a more immersive experience with several speakers around the pool and yard. Ordered 4 of these and was thrilled with the purchase. Excellent sound including nice tight base and a great price. Immediately ordered 4 more for a total of 8 speakers around the backyard and paired them with a PYLE 8 channel amp. I honestly couldn't be happier and my search for great sound in the backyard is now over. Anyone that may be on the fence I would say go for it. I cant imagine anyone being disappointed.

Good sound, good bass. The connection consists of a foot or 2 wire on the bottom, stripped and tinned. I connected these to my long wires with wire nuts and covered with electrical tape. I was a little disappointed in this part. I was expecting a screw down and/or banana plug connector and maybe a water-resistant trap door of some kind. This will be OK as I used wire nuts and covered the connections, but I would worry that some folks would simply twist and tape, resulting in loose connections not too far down the road.Perhaps there's a reason for this setup... I'd be curious to watch this space for a response from the vendor...

They sounded really good when new but after only 3 years of speaker drivers started to sound distorted. Now I have to replacing them and they are not even 5 years old. Very disappointing as my previous, different brand rock speakers lasted over 10 years and only cost $25!

These speakers are fantastic! They blend into our landscaping, and we put plants around them and they are too cool! Really make our pond area a pleasant place to sit by the fire pit, enjoy the music and scenery.

Worked for two years, and upon turning them on for the first time this year, which shame on me was one month after the warranty expired, one speaker has a constant muffling sound. Very unhappy and now need to see what kind of support they will provide for these. I cannot recommend based on this, but will update if the company stands behind its product.Update May 29:Seller AV Express provided awesome customer support. They resent new speakers, so am quite appreciative of that. Upon further inspection this is definitely water damage, so would highly recommend covering if possible. Would give fewer stars if AV Express customer service was not great.

Good sound. Starting to crack after about a year.

These speakers look great, sound great, and are a good value. They have a cable coming out of the bottom, and the black and red wires connect to your source with a wire-nut (I used waterproof wire-nuts available from Home Depot).

Installed these speakers in April of 2014 and they are still working just as good as they did on Day one. For the price and the experience of having music near the fire pit with no unsightly white or black speakers is nice!! Easy installation and no maintenance issues so far. Well worth the money and would by again. I would not go smaller than the 8.0 inch, just because sometimes I do like the music a little louder when no one is around and Im working in the backyard on something.
