Maybe I was unlucky. All 4 refills were dry. Had to bin.

These are a must have if you want that fountain texture of ink, without the spillage and mess of a fountain. I had to modify mine with a small piece of thick tape around the neck of the refill to act as a stopper for the spring for my Parker Jotter XL pen. As the spring isn’t quite small enough and would slide back too far up the body of the refil - making the click mechanism not push the ball point out far enough. Easy fix.
