I’m exceptionally pleased with this clipper set. I have 2 Havanese dogs, both are double coated. After an illness they were horribly matted down to the skin. I mean sheep’s wool matted. My old clippers were useless trying to shear this fur off. Read the reviews for this Oneisall set and decided to go for it. FANTASTIC clippers. I’m not exaggerating when I say it cut through the thick mats like “butter”. Vroom!! Both dogs done in 2 hours! Don’t hesitate. I don’t think you’ll be sorry. If your dog is matted it works really well however the blade will dull. You will need to order a replacement blade. If you struggle with matted hair like on our doods, it’s so nice to finally find something that keeps it under control, easy and quiet, even if I have to replace the blade every once in a while!

But the low noise worked in my favor. After a brief wrestle and a treat based negotiation, Sir Barkington reluctantly allowed the grooming to begin. And WOW this thing cut through those mats like butter. No snagging, no overheating, no doggie side eyes once we got going. The cordless design made it easy to maneuver while chasing him from one side of the kitchen to the other. Cleanup was easy, the blade stayed cool, and after 30 minutes of battle and bribery, my mother-in laws dog looked less like a mop and more like a dog again. Bonus points: The battery life held strong through the entire ordeal, and it didn’t sound like a lawnmower (thank goodness). She even had me use it on her long haired cat later, though that required a second round of negotiations and a sacrifice of one very good hoodie Final verdict? Worth every penny for the results, the laughs, and the transformation from shaggy beast to sleek beauty. This trimmer didn’t just groom my mother in laws dog, it tested our bond and somehow made us stronger. Sort of. Sir Barkington forgives me, I think.

Great trimmers I may say that I did use them on myself to shave my head and it seemed to work better than traditional metal blade trimmers instead of the porcelain blade this trimmer has and less heat than the traditional too.

I’m so bummed! As soon as these clippers were delivered we charged them and bathed our GDs in preparation to get to trimming. We barely made it through one GD and that was about it. After cleaning the clippers, blade etc, getting them all oiled up and ready to finish, and the clippers won’t even turn on!Ugh!! What are GD owners using? We can’t afford $150 each dog for a professional groomer.

This bottle of trimmer oil will last me a very long time because the blades only need a couple drops every now and then. The bottle I received was well sealed and had no leaks. The screw-on nozzle also has a gasket inside to form a good seal against the bottle and I tested to see how well it performed by placing my finger over the nozzle tip and squeezing the bottle - nothing escaped so that proved to me a very good seal there. The tip of the nozzle has a red screw-on cap, which does not have any sort of gasket, and while it closes fine, it doesn't provide an airtight seal at that end unfortunately. Due to this, I will need to make sure I store this bottle upright.
