Bright for the price. Batteries last awhile.
Pros:Works wellBright enough to navigate short distancesHas the option to put 4 batteries instead of 2 for double the run time.Probably floats but have not tested this. (I honestly don't care because for the price it is brighter than expected and is already worth what I paid without testing the floating)It did well in light rain and very light snow a few times.Cons:Not bright in general. My benchmark is around 300 lumens. This does not come close. But for your average Joe just checking mail at night, for a backup light during a blackout, or just to have peace of mind that you have a simple flashlight that can last a long time this is great.Uses C batteries. Not a big deal for me but for some it is.Overall:Most flashlights I have use circuit boards and have multiple modes. Also, who needs 600 lumens to check mail or take the trash out... This flashlight is great supplemental lighting for small tasks. I primarily used it for little walks and to pick up deliveries at the edge of my apartment complex (temp living in the northeast). There was very poor lighting, it was dark by 4 or 5, and my apartment was set back away from the road. This flashlight gave me peace of mind and made life much easier for me. No complaints!

Handy Lantern
I have a few of these now - keep one in the car because with the time change it is dark inside with no exterior light in garage and need to see key opening. The handle really makes this portable, which is great when there is a power outage and go through the rooms to turn on candles.I keep one on top of the refrigerator and another one on the floor next to the bed. They last several years before needing a new battery or just a new flashlight, depends on availability of both and cost.I have used on floor to plug in items and holding it to do things. Very easy to find with the yellow color and button to press on is not hard to do at all.A good product to have in the home for emergency use and for kids to have in their rooms.

Don't waste your money or time
I regret it completely because I bought it as a prop for a birthday party theme. The sticker left a residue on the plastic lens that won't come off, even with Goo Gone. All I succeeded in doing was making more of a smuggled sticky, cloudy mess. The batteries that came had a wrapper coming off and looked used. Which okay based on the price and the purpose I figured it sucks but I'll figure it out and buy new batteries, just for the product to not work even with new batteries. I bought two and am kicking myself. Please don't waste your time. I can only imagine the horror I would have felt if I had purchased these and packed them in an emergency hurricane or tornado prep box.

Crappy light pattern, very energy efficient.
Light pattern is too narrow and weird looking due to LED and reflector design. The lantern is extremely energy efficient, I ran it for 12 hours straight on four D cell alkaline Amazon batteries and the before and after voltage difference was less than a half-tenth of a volt (using fresh batteries). I don't know about the manufacturer's claim of 400 hours but from my computations I wouldn't doubt it can do 150 (compared to less than 10 hours with the old-style Krypton bulb lanterns of similar form factor on a set of alkaline D cells in a lantern battery to four D cell adapter, that style lantern lasts about 10 hours on a good quality 6VDC lantern battery which does not fit in the Eveready reviewed here). The fact that the Eveready reviewed here takes $4 worth of D cells rather than the $12 lantern battery or an expensive lantern battery to D cell adapter is a good thing in this case. For the price as of mid 2018 it is a decent deal but don't expect the same wide light pattern of the old-style Krypton bulb lanterns.

Beach ball size spotlight
Very nice flashlight. It's not the heavyweight light your grandpa had, it's a lightweight flashlight. It has a great battery life, I left it on all night and it's still going. It gives good spotlight as you can see on the raccoons that like to take over my backyard at night. It shines a pretty good distance you can shine it up a tree and see quite well. Our home sits in the middle of an acre and the light shines to either corner very well. As you can see the light does not shine wide but it gives a good beach ball size spotlight. Money well spent.

Large flashlight
These are great to keep in your car, basements, storage shed, or for storms when your lights go out (or in any emergency. We bought two, and my kids play with them. They are very bright! I'd say they are more for outdoors (say for camping), & work fantastic. The body of the flashlight is pretty light, even with batteries. I don't know how long the bulb will last, but we don't use it every day, so I'm sure it'll be OK. I got these at a great price. I would definitely buy them again, if I needed to.

It's $3.29 ....with batteries included........it's not $60....stop complaining
For 3.29...with batteries included......those folks with negative comments need to get a life. It's 3.29 cents....it is awesome. It is not a lantern, it is not a marine special ops equipment. It is a simple basic replacement for the traditional d cell battery flashlight with brightness improvements and much longer battery life as well as being light weight. For most folks a few of these around the house is all that is needed. If you want marine corp grade quality spend the big bucks and buy a maglight......
