Futurebiotics Cholesterol Balance Veg-Capsules, 90-Count

Have taken TONS of cholesterol lowering supplement for the past 6 years. Was diagnosed with hyperlipidemia at 25 with a total cholesterol of 284 / LDL of 144 / Triglycerides well over 300 .... at the time had been a vegetarian for 17 years, exercised etc. Have taken everything from psyllium, krill oil, rice brain oil, policosanol, chosestoff, all different kinds of plant stanols (benecol), plant sterols, and the list continues forever. I did see my results move as low as 234 for total and 122 for LDL, however still never normal. Noted I never got on any medication throughout the 6 years - was always trying with more supplements, vamping up and trying new exercises, stress management etc. I started this supplement a few months before my highest reading of 300 Total cholesterol / 207 LDL and 297 triglycerides (I was in the middle of crisis, had shingles, work and home stress etc). Started taking these faithfully after that - taking 3 with my largest meal whether that was lunch or dinner. At times would take 1 with lunch and 2 with dinner if meals were small. I increased plant foods (fruits & vegetables), reduced all things processed. I still drank occasionally - wine or a cocktail if we went out to a fancy dinner or event. Exercise stayed consistent - walked at least 1-2 miles a day, ran or did aerobics when I could, increased resistance training/weights. Preliminary research suggests Oat B-Glucan helps lower total cholesterol/LDL and raise HDL & this supplement provided 2.25g Oat B-Glucan. The only other supplement I took consistently was Weider Red Yeast Rice Plus with Phytosterols & algae/kelp (purchased from Costco) - you do have to watch with red yeast rice - most research (Natural Medicines Comprehensive Database) shows red yeast rice often contains HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors, similar to "statin" drugs, such as lovastatin, and can cause side effects similar to these drugs (cholesterol lowering effects). In the US, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) considers red yeast rice products that contain statins to be illegal, unapproved drugs. Some red yeast rice products available in the US contain little or none of the statin constituents; however, many still contain significant concentrations of statins. One analysis shows that that some of these products can contain up to 5 mg of statins per tablet. I tried these with that in mind - thinking at least I was getting the plant sterols from them.....End results were WONDERFUL. I was in the airport ready to fly out and received a phone call from my Doctors office. I almost fell off my chair when she said my results were perfect. I made her go back and find the results and read them to me because I didn't believe she had the right patient :) My total cholesterol went down to 190 / LDL went to 91 / HDL jumped from 45 to 60 / Triglycerides down to 197 (still high but down 100 and I haven't been taking any fish oil/krill oil - I am a non fish eating vegetarian). FIRST NORMAL RESULTS since diagnosed! 6 years I have done workouts as intense as insanity, p90X, jujitsu, running, zumba, power 90, endless amounts of workouts / been a vegetarian for 23 years now and this is the first time I have seen my numbers move so significantly!I will add I improved my stress management - so there is a component of stress, sleep, overall positive thinking that also goes with reducing inflammation in your body to help reduce glucose, cholesterol etc.I would definitely recommend - I already have my dad on these - will continue them in hopes my numbers may move a bit more. Elated that I never started taking medications. I was told initially that I would never achieve normal levels due to it being more familial high cholesterol and now I have proven them wrong :)

This formula has done its metabolic homework. I have seen dramatic lab changes across the board on numerous occasions with individual lipid panels. Not only total cholesterol, but LDL, VLDL, triglycerides,and HDL/LDL ratios....improvements that are statistically significant and sustainable.

seriously WORKS! my total cholesterol went from 285 down to 243 (using this product for 3 weeks) my triglycerides went from 106-to 84, my Hdl went up from 81 to 93 , and my Ldl went down from 183 to 132. These number are from ACTUAL Doctors blood taken tests . I totally recommend trying this before a low dose statin...of course check with your dr. first, but I'm very glad I did.

Yes I use this product and it really seems to work

Works better than prescriptions without the side affects. Helps with digestion as well. When I stopped taking it my lipids were up in just a few days. Much more effective than what doctor prescribed. Prescriptions tend to mess with blood sugar but this does not.

Really upset my nasal allergies on the right side of my nose and watery eye, it was a severe reaction. burning and sting and made my nose very sensitive to the touch, I took only one a day for six days then one every other day, took it for a month also it's rather constipating. It decreased my appetite.

Been using this for 4 years now .I use this instead of prescription statin drugs. Has kept my cholesterol down along with proper diet
