Once assembled, it’s super sturdy and rolls smoothly, sparking endless pretend scenarios where my kid "collects" toys as garbage—great for teaching about eco-stuff too. At $49.99, it’s an incredible value for the functions and play potential, and it’s durable enough for rough kid handling. Only minor gripe? The instructions could use a bit more color coding for the gears, but that’s nitpicking. Perfect gift for 8+ kids who love vehicles—highly recommend for some quality father-son build time!

Really one of the best lego investments when it comes to money : time occupied. My 8yr old has been building it for about 4 hrs off and on (my fault because I told him I'd handle the sticker placement, yes I'm a perfectionist, I collect legos myself and crooked sticker placement gives me the heeby jeebies). So sometimes he had to wait on me to put stickers on. Other than that it's kept him fully occupied. Should also add that he has very pronounced adhd and for him to sit with something and focus for this long is not a frequent occurrence. I think I helped out twice to correct something that was placed incorrectly and got him stuck, but generally speaking I would say this is definitely appropriately labeled as for 8yr olds. He really enjoyed it. What I also love about this set specifically and why I ended up choosing this above other technic sets is the moving parts. It's more interactive, so more likely to receive some play time after being built. Really neat set, great price, kid (8 yrs) approved. Would 100% recommend.
