What a hidden Gem, I love my Kindle Fire
Well written, I believe we'll researched & footnoted, I doubt I would have ordered hard copy, but digital download was a understated find of the decade (what's left of it) and I believe priceless for those whom have been searching, studying, & trying to make sense of the tea leaves being strewn about with eyes that see but do not perceive.Thank you David M.(UPDATE) - (SEPT 9TH 2013) Authors comments to a two star reviewer above, who could use a cold shower ; )"Mark,First, I thank you for reading my book and writing a detailed review, despite the two stars. To respond to your review:Yes, I did a great deal of research. And much is based on the idea that the planet suffers periodic pole shifts. You say there is no global evidence of a pole shift, but I obviously disagree.Bands of coral criss-cross the Earth indicating many successive equators. The sediment layer known as "the Usselo Horizon" is found on several continents from the same time period.Sediments off of West Antarctica indicate flowing rivers as recently as 4,000 B.C.Myths and religions from around the world tell similar tales of world-destruction. Etc.You say there is no mechanism available that would explain how this (pole shift) could be done, then you address the imbalanced ice accumulation at the South Pole.Tangential centripetal forces within the off-center ice-mass by itself could eventually do the job.Ice accumulating off-center from the pole, triggered or pushed over the critical point through periodic outbursts from the sun (something Dr. Schoch suggests) or from the galactic center (as Dr. LaViolette suggests) certainly offer adequate potential disturbances. The Indonesian earthquake and tsunami that killed almost 250,000 people in late 2004 is widely accepted to have been triggered by a gravity wave from a much smaller cosmic disturbance. You suggest that such pole shift events would be over in a single day (which I do not) and that "the underlying physics is not possible."Many PhDs including Albert Einstein said it is possible and in fact almost guaranteed to have happened repeatedly. As your one mathematical comment is faulty (25,000 miles divided by 24 hours would be just *over* 1000mph) I'll stick with Einstein's assessment of the physics - that pole shifts can and do happen repeatedly. You say it would be fatal to almost everything on the planet. Yes, I agree, loss of many species to extinction, and mass human depopulation is very likely when this happens.Based on your other reviews, you seem like an intelligent guy. As pole shifts were not the focus of my entire book, but they seem to be the focus for you - I highly suggest reading books by Professor Charles Hapgood, such as "Maps of the Ancient Sea Kings" or "Earth's Shifting Crust." Hapgood may succeed where I failed - to overcome some of your assumptions on the topic."

Outside the box
This is a tough book to review and be objective. I would agree with about 50 percent of the authors conclusions, and find myself really struggling with the rest. And this from a reader who is very well versed in prophecy and agrees that the mainstream teachers probably miss the mark, more than hit it.First, I think the author nails it on both the past history of prior civilizations on earth and the reason for their demise. The pole shift theory explains so many questions logically and within the needed timeframes for science. I also agree that prior civilizations were much more advanced than we are and have given them credit for being. There is plenty of archaeological proof to back up the authors position on both of these points.,Where I have a problem, is with the Zodiac metaphors for the different bible events and people. Even the author admits in various places that it might be a stretch. I know the Zodiac is important to God and his plan for man is written in the stars. I'm just not sure it stretches to the extent that the author uses it too. But I will clearly say that this area of knowledge, is not my strong suit.A couple of other problems as well. We are now in the last week of July 2014, and nothing significant has happened to indicate the start of the 7 yr tribulation, as the author indicated it would in December 2012. So either I and a lot of other prophecy buffs are wrong about what happens in the tribulation, or the author just flat out missed the mark with his prediction. Time will tell on that. Also, I don't believe he got the timing right on the rapture or the second coming events right either. I know there are as many ideas about those events as there are people, and I am in no way claiming to have the answers, but there are just too many problems with his scenarios.I do think that overall the author is on track with some his timelines and how the polar shift could explain why and how the earth will be used for the end of this age and the beginning of the next, as in the past. One of the many reasons I think is timeline is close, is because of the blood moon cycle we are now in. Pastor and author Mark Biltz does great job with this in his latest book.None of us has all the answers with this stuff. It's always good to look at other viewpoints and then try to put the various pieces together, to try and figure out the puzzle. Though I don't think the author has put the puzzle together here, I do think he gives some very valuable pieces to use on the puzzle. Worth the read.

Too much psuedo-science, even for the typical religious based prediction.
Understand, I was curious about this book, and I do see the author did a lot of research. That said, much of his book is based on the idea of a 'pole flip' as a cataclysm of sufficient violence to match the severity of an end-times event. The problem is, there is (1) No 'global' evidence (widespread physical evidence at the same time horizon) that this 'specific' event ever took place, though he asserts it has, and (2) There is no mechanism available that would explain how this could be done, and (3) If it could happen, physics tells you, there would be no survivors, except perhaps at the poles, where very few species of large animals (including man) exists. Now, he does try to describe a process as in (2), speaking of asymmetries in the slow Ice buildup around the poles as a mechanism, expecting a wobble in rotation, to induce a slide in the outer crust around the globe. One could argue that the ice itself, not fixed to the ground, could slide more easily around than the underlying rocks which are a more 'attached' mass. His argument seems to be the not most likely path for an unlikely process. If the outer crust 'could' slide violently, over a wide area, such as to 'relocate' the poles, keeping in mind the rotational speed of the earth's crust at the equator is just under 1000 mph (25,000 mile circumference divided by 24 hours), a significant change in pivot would demand fatal levels of ground acceleration to accomplish such a stunt. In short, it's heavily researched, but the underlying physics is not possible, and if were possible, it would be fatal to nearly everything on the planet.

What a wonderful book - don't be put off by the title.
I have just finished reading this book (after first reading David Montaigne's later book "Pole Shift: Evidence Will Not Be Silenced"). Apart from a few typos and other things that seem to creep in with Kindle publishing, this really is a wonderful book. I was drawn to David's later book, following years of research into "Pole Shifts" (etc), and was so impressed with his work that I had to look at what he had to say in "End Times and 2019". I was well impressed with what I found. There was so much that "rang true", things that I had read about before, but I had never joined the dots... and a lot more besides. Thank you David for all your hard work, and for bringing this all to our attention.

Five Stars
Excellent.

Leider englisch
