It has a relatively strong active ingredient in it so yes. One night of use you may not feel anything, however after doing it 3 nights in a row my face did begin to peel (skin renewal) so I dialed it back to only 3 times a week. Absolute most important steps are to always apply a SMALL amount, you do not need a lot of retinol to see benefits. And never use the product in the morning because it interacts badly with your skin if exposed to sunlight.

When do I apply this? I’m a male that just started to take care of my skin. My routine are: cleansing, toner, hydrating serum, and moisturizer.

Cleanse, tone, serum, (be careful it doesn’t have any actives in it), apply retinal & moisturizer last or buffer with your moisturizer ☺️ and I would highly suggest checking out Dr. Shereen Idriss on YouTube. She has some videos short and sweet for men and women. Also TBH with you depending on what your toner does you may be able to toss that. What… is… a toner really? Lol
