Excellent product
I cut myself badly and blood was pooling on the floor. I cut a piece of this bandage and applied it to my wound. It immediately stopped bleeding and there was no more pain from the cut. It's amazing.

Good to have
I have ordered this product in the past. Only had occasion to use it once and it worked well. Nice to keep around.

Perfect for first aid kit
These are just what I needed to add to my emergency first aid kit. We have been building it, trying to add everything we could ever possibly need. Gauze is on the top of the list.

Exactly as advertised and quality is beyond my expectation.
It was very nice to get a product as advertised while purchasing. The product quality is beyond my expectations because its pricing is lower compared to similar quality products. Thanks to the manufacturer.

The capability is a must have for any trauma kit, but this one had some problems for me
The Good:* The clotting agents are kaolin and carboxymethyl cellulose, which are non-exothermic (don't produce heat) so they pose much less risk to the surrounding skin* Sterile and individually packagedThe Meh:* Small dressing so the wounds it can be used on are limited* The price is on the very high side ($19.99 at time of review for a single package), even compared to some very well-known brand names. Multiple alternatives are available for 10-30% less using the same active compounds. The Bad:Can't recommend unless they lower the price and clean up their ad or are at least more honest about things. The listing makes a big deal about an "extended expiration date" (second picture, bottom left). My package was manufactured in 2022 and expires in 2026, and there is no month so I'm hoping December is the date. I also had to peel a sticker off the location where the dates were printed...almost like they were hiding it from me. Don't know if I got old stock just to get rid of it or what, but that absolutely put me off. That said, conceptually it's a great product and I have this type of bandage in every car first aid kit and my trauma bag. I hope I never have to use it, but if I do, I know it's there. If the price and potential short expiration date isn't a turn off for you, grab 'em I guess. Otherwise, save some money by doing a little searching for the same thing by a different brand. The Verdict:

I needed to refresh proper procedures BEFORE it was time to use this product
This Turkish Dressing from MEDCLOT is a great item to have on hand for severe wounds + with proper training. First responders, wilderness medicine, military, x- military … likely already have some of the basic training to use this product. Anyone deciding to buy this because it would be good to have on hand - with no training in this type of bandage - should seek training or at least online tutorials.Having prior training, I still decided to watch a couple online videos to be sure I was still up to date and hadn’t forgotten anything that could hurt myself or the person I wanted to help.I am not able to determine the exact ingredients that are applied to this bandage or the powder that is in this pouch. Based on the information I found online in the videos and from prior training - If this product is still the same as what the Turkish military used a number of years ago, and for the sake of comparison, there are several precautions to observe. If the pouch is improperly opened, the powder in this pouch can cause severe eye problems and possibly blindness. My research shows when I open this pouch, to never open the it near my own face or the face of the person I am helping. The online directions I found also caution. - after applying - I should not touch my face or my eyes before washing my hands thoroughly. On the pouch I received, the inventory sticker from Amazon was covering the production and expiration date. Removing the sticker, some of the words were lifted but most of the words and numbers are still legible ( see photo).I appreciate the opportunity to have this product and to review it. I hope my thoughts, photos, and research help someone.
