I have tried several toothpastes for sensitivity, including Sensodyne. Most of the over the counter products have sodium laurel sulfate and other additives. While Sensodyne worked for a while, it didn't improve my gum health. I also tried Dr. Katz' PerioTherapy which was okay for a while. After some soreness in my gums (that the PerioTherapy was supposed to have helped with) I tried PeriRub for tooth pain. It worked far better than OraJel. The insert in the package said that it was more effective combined with PeriBrite toothpaste and PeriWash. While using a Dr. Collins toothbrush (if you have sensitive teeth, this brush is extremely gentle) I tried the rub, toothpaste and rinse. I have not had any soreness or sensitivity in nearly 3 months of regular use! PerioBrite comes in several flavors, two mints and this Cinnamon flavor. I am not a big mint fan, but love this Cinnamon flavor. It has a great herbal formulation that includes CoQ10 (healthy for our bodies, and our mouths), Folic Acid, Oregano, Cinnamon and Clove. It naturally whitens, helps dry mouth and has no preservatives, alcohol, sweeteners and dyes. I have tried the Cool Mint as well and both have a nice, fresh zing taste to them. It is concentrated so you don't have to use a large amount. I believe natural is better. I don't miss all the additives and sweeteners. Even Tom's of Maine, a "natural toothpaste" still adds sodium laurel sulfate. This is the first toothpaste that has really helped my teeth and gums as a whole. The Cinnamon flavor is the hardest to find and I am glad to see Amazon finally carrying it. PerioBrite in any flavor is the best choice for a natural toothpaste that will improve your oral health. It has been on the market since the 1970s and is better than many of the newer items out there. Find your favorite flavor and use this daily for better oral health.

This is a great, more natural way to protect and clean your teeth and gums. I iced to be a perio patient, going 4 times a year for special cleaning at my dentist office. Not anymore! This toothpaste saved my teeth! And they are whiter too!

This product has helped my gums bleed less and heal the gum around a tooth I had root canal done on. I use along with the mouth rinse and have noticed a difference in over all gum and tooth health.

Really good product.. using product for more than 15 yrs.. not sure why it needs xylitol,

I liked the taste and my teeth felt clean. The snap off top does not go back on tightly and the toothpaste which is thin, leaks out. I have to store standing up! This happened on both of the caps. I ordered another flavor, and the caps do the same thing. Very, very disappointing, because I like the toothpaste.

This is by far the healthiest toothpaste I have tried, it doesn't contain any of the toxics and carcinogens that most manufactures put on similar products (and sadly most people have not idea of). No fluoride, no titanium dioxide, no Red 40, no carrageenan, etc. However the product isn't perfect yet, there is room for improvement. Here the pros and cons: PROS: - Healthy, really healthy and free of toxic chemicals - Good taste, my entire family is using the "Cinnamint" and we are happy including my kids. CONS: - The texture requires improvement. Its texture is too close to liquid. - Expensive, at $7/4oz is overpriced compared to the toxic Colgate at $4/7oz I guess there is a cost in trying to stay healthy, the more consumers that demand healthier products, the more manufacturers will produce them and therefore costs will go down, same as organic food. After extensive research and product testing i have found this brand to be the "cleanest" - not only cleans leaving mouth feeling clean but not slimy or sticky or w a weird taste but also contains ingredients that r not known to be irritants- i won't use flouride( google its origin!) And most whiteners r abrasive or make gums redder instead so teeth look brighter supposedly ( i am not a fan of altering my enamel anyway but this product at least does not use the typical whitening method)- my partner prefers the cinnamon flavor- i like the mint (but it's not the typical overpowering mint flavor that he likes )- occasionally i get a tube that is a little runny in the health food store and it might ooze a bit but i solve that by storing it in the fridge which btw i think improves the taste)- my dentist and my nutritionist chiropractor approve of this brand for me!- will never go back to other toothpastes except to ipsab brand occasionally for variety( will use cheap non-gel toothpaste that contains zinc to slather on a kitchen burn immediately then cover so doesn't blister though 😊)- i might as well be a brand ambassador as i rave about it and gift it- pkg arrived rapidly and intact - i reorder regularly- there many other tooth and oral care products by this brand- i also like the ipsab line incl their toothpowder etc which has a stronger mint flavor but is slightly abrasive kind of like baking soda but they also have an extensive line for oral care , not just for cosmetic purposes but truly health care- i consider the periobrite line to be legitimate health care products too
