Sail repair take.
Easy to apply and thicker than average tape. Works well on sails. And is a good temporary fix.

Worked ok
The sail repair tape worked OK. We use it in a couple of high stress locations on our sunfish sail, and it did not stand up to the stress. The problem also may be that the sail is starting to deteriorate.

What you expect
Strong, very thin, and light. It's for repair, I am not expecting tape adhesive to last forever but for the price I can apply again.

Great for period style tents at events
Used as a back up for my canvas tent. Held up in rain for tiny tear. You can't see the tape until you are up close. Great for period style tents at events.

essential repair item, well worth the money
i used this item to repair a tear in a prism powerkite. i've since used the kite twice in 25mph winds while kiteboarding on my skateboard and the tape has held strong.the tear was about 7 inches long and i didn't even sew it. from now on, this tape will always be "on hand" when powerkiting as it was the easiest repair i've ever made on a kite.i would also recommend goodwinds as a seller, prompt shipping and professionally packaged.

It didn't hold the way I used it...details below.
It did not hold for me.. I used it to keep my battens in and after a few days of sailing in 20 mph winds it was coming off. Of course, the luff is battered in winds like this..I think it may work on a very small 1-2 inch tear on a temporary basis until you can sew it up, but it certainly wasn't as strong as I felt it should be for the money. Gorilla tape would definitely hold better in my application, but of course it will leave residue behind which would be very difficult to remove. . The battens pushing backwards didn't force it apart, it just started peeling around the edges and then let go. I did not prep the surface of the sail in any way, however. Perhaps that would help. You will need a knife to cut it. It is fabric that cannot be torn. It is tough in that sense, but if it doesn't stick..

Happy customer
Excellent material! I was able to repair not only the holes but also the ripped out grommet rings, using the material itself and poked a hole in it so I could attach to the mast. It is easy to use.

Fantastic tape
The tape is a strong, very sticky nylon, the same material as the sail. Ultra lightweight and flexible, the sail repair tape is thin and strong. I had to cut it with scissors because it wouldn't tear by hand. I expect the repairs I made to last for a long, long time.
