Game-changer for homemade pizza — excellent heat retention
This stone seriously upgraded my homemade pizza nights. Preheated it for about 40 minutes and the base came out perfectly crisp — way better than a tray. Works great for flatbreads and reheating pastries too. You can feel the difference the cordierite makes — holds heat really evenly, no burnt spots or soggy centres. It’s heavy but manageable, and once seasoned properly, it wipes clean without fuss. Just don’t use soap or soak it — brush it down like cast iron. If you’re into making proper pizza or baking bread at home, this is a smart investment.

A beautiful stone ... but it does stain easily. I leave it in my oven always to keep food warm longer! Great for pizzas and any bread. No soggy bottoms!

Great for baking sourdough bread in home oven
This is the second one of these stones I have purchased. They are great for pizza, as designed, but they are also great for sourdough bread. I pre-heat my oven for an hour with the stone in place, at 270c. Then I turn the oven down and bake my bread at about 250c. The stone is great for retaining heat and ensures I always get a well baked bottom on my loaves. If I am baking for friends and family, I can sometimes bake up to 10 loaves back to back. Again, the stone makes this easy to do thanks to the heat retention. This particular stone allows for multiple loaves at a time thanks to it's size. Very happy with my purchase.

Good quality and a very useful size
I purchased this stone primarily for baking bread. It is a very useful size (exactly as described) being a perfect fit for the shelf in a popular size of conventional domestic oven, allowing just enough space for air circulation on all four sides. Having read some customer comments about strong odours, I decided to give it a trial heating before using it for baking, placing it on the centre shelf of my cold electric fan oven and then switching on and allowing it to come up to 240°C. There was no odour other than the usual "hot" oven aroma, so I can only assume that this issue only affects occasional batches in manufacture. The supplier does include a note advising customers to contact them if they have this problem, which is fair play. The stone is of a good heavy weight and is ideal for the purpose I bought it for - giving good oven-spring to a loaf of bread. The stone was despatched in very sturdy packaging ensuring that it arrived undamaged. My only reservation is that the product has the manufacturer's name/logo embossed deeply right in the centre of one surface, presumably intended to be the underside. This means that the stone cannot effectively be reversed and used both ways up, which is a shame, as these do eventually develop discolouration through repeated use and the ability to use both surfaces would be useful.

Ich hab den Stein zum Brot backen gekauft. Hab lange hin und her überlegt, welche Größe wohl auf meinen Rost passt. Leider ist mein Backofen nicht sehr groß, da ist diese Größe gerade richtig. Es ist auch schon ganz schön schwer. Ich habe noch einen runden Pizzastein, der ist deutlich leichter. Also genau was ich gesucht hab.

After using this brand stone since the Summer of 2024 I wanted to circle back and leave a review. I have no affiliation with this company. I'm just a dude who loves to cook pizza. My addiction started off when I ordered the 15" round pizza stone for my Weber grill. I use the KettlePizza Basic kit for my setup. This grill is dedicated to pizzas. We use cedar wood when we cook pizzas this method. The thermometer on my setup goes to 700 degrees and the needle is usually stuck as high as it can go so it probably hits well over 700 degrees. I live in NJ and leave the stone outside year round, we haven't fired the stone up in the winter as we have indoor stones for our oven. Cracked stones are probably user error/thermal shock. Warm the stone up with your oven to avoid that. The stone staining is 100% normal. Never clean your stone with soap. All you need to do is scrape off any excess. Maybe just run the oven without anything on the stone and char/burn it off. I don't even use water. Since then I have purchased 4 additional 15x12 stones from this company for our indoor oven. My wife and I have a stone of our own we use with dairy cheeses. My son was recently diagnosed with EoE so he can't intake any kind of dairy so we use Amazon basic plant based cheese for his pizzas, so he 100% needs his own stone to avoid cross contamination. My parents and my brother were both gifted pizza stones from this company (by no other than me) and they've had no issues. To sum this up me and my family have purchased 5 stones from this company with 0 issues. None of our stones smelled like chemicals. None of our stones have cracked and I abuse the heck out of them heat wise.

Je m’en suis servi pour la première fois pour faire deux pizza Franchement aucune odeur ou fumée comme j’ai pu le lire ! J’ai mis le four en mode grill a 270° avec la Pierre a pizza dedans pendant 30 min puis je suis repassé en chaleur tournante a 250° et j’ai enfourner ma pizza! 10 min apres la pate était parfaitement cuite en dessous !!! Au top rien à voir avec mon ancienne plaque à pizza tefal!!!
