Hoyt's Cologne 5oz

I purchased this to use in a hoodoo spell. With that being said, the smell doesn't much matter to me, but it does remind me of the old barbershop smells. The smell is a little sweet but not overly floral, it does have a little punch. It has a very strong alcohol smell in the bottle that quickly evaporates once on your skin. Hoyt's Cologne is a great vintage scent if that's what you're in to. 5oz is a rather large amount for a small hoodoo spell, but it was so inexpensive, and can be used for many different applications, so I'm glad I bought the lager bottle. I have purchased glass bottles in the past and there was no difference in smell between the glass and plastic bottles. Overall, great product, and great price!

Hoyt's Cologne is an old-time barber shop scent. I first encountered it around forty years ago when it was only 50 cents, in a glass bottle. I personally find it superior to any of the Pinaud fragrances such as Clubman; however, that is my own subjective preference, it's not as floral or baby powdery as Pinaud. Used a lot in Voodoo magic and Mojo bags! One of the old Hoodoo recipes I found for it goes as follows: 1 ounce bergamot oil, 1 ounce lemon oil, 1/2 ounce sandalwood oil, 1/4 ounce neroli oil, 20 grains camphor oil, 7 pints cologne spirit (alcohol), and 1 pint rosewater;; mix and let stand one month. I haven't tried making my own with this recipe but the camphor oil makes sense. I originally thought I detected eucalyptus oil but I'm starting to believe it might be camphor. Note: camphor is used in many Hindu ceremonies sacred to Shiva. I really don't smell the analogy with Chandrika soap, although I love Chandrika and wouldn't have found it without the review. Just be careful when ordering, some of the bottles only have 3/4 to 2 ounces. Get the five ounce size.

Hoyt's Cologne smells just as wonderful today as it did when I was a child. It is somewhat reminiscent of Old Spice, but it packs a bigger punch.This cologne is definitely not subtle, so a little goes a long way. It seems to last all day long, and it is a great reminder of a time when things were a bit more laid back.Highly recommended!

The media could not be loaded. It came well packaged, it didn't leak and came a day earlier.WARNING: HAHAHA after I did the video review, I closed it too tight an the cap broke off. Luckily since it has the inner closure it won't leak and it is still good to use. So just be gentle when closing the outer cap.

This is a very old and old school cologne/aftershave that smells great on me, at least. At first it's a bit strong and alcohol fogged, but it dries down to something very nice. I don't know enough about fragrance "notes" to parse it out. It's barbeshop, but not in a Pinaud Clubman sense.

Smells really nice, when I first smelled it, there was a sense of nostalgia.........didn't know who wore this, but surely recognized it from when I was a young boy! This is a great fragrance compared to the chemically scented colognes you find today. I will be buying more of this cologne. Its hard to describe the fragrance being a novice, but to me I smell some lime, maybe a small hint of cinnamon, maybe a bit of lavender and almost no alcohol upon initially putting the stuff on. Its very clean, and makes me think of how folks used to smell back in the day, very interesting.........oh, and I know this is weird but I think I detect a minute amount of citronella, maybe it will also keep some bugs away.........I know, weird, but definitely worth the review!

This is super good, at first and out of te bottle it smells really weird, to me like sour and bitter herbs, but then after 10 seconds it's such a great natural lime/ bubblegum in a manly way? The only other thing that smells exactly like this Is Chandrika Soap
