A Good Stand - Stable, good value, nice design
Ok so I looked through a lot of these stands before buying, and even when I was buying it I was hesitant simply because the negative reviews of this stand would really scare you. However I really couldn't understand some of them or how these negative experiences actually happened without it being down to user error or receiving perhaps a faulty stand.Anyways the first thing I will mention is the size of this stand and how well it copes with the TV I chose to mount on it. There are reviews on here saying this stand will cope with a 50" TV no problem and then others saying it will not or it barely copes with a 42" so don't risk a 50". I can't speak for those who say it will not cope with a 50" because it mounted my 50" no problem and honestly to my pleasant surprise it's very stable and it seems like the stand could cope with more if I am honest. Which is good as it states it can hold a tv's up 55" and hold a weight of 40kg. Anyway, my tv is 50" and weighs about 12kg. I've since bumped into the tv by accident and I can vouch that the stand coped and held the TV nice and securely. Obviously the heavier the tv the less stable. I would say this stand would cope nicely with anything up to 20kg and anything heavier probably is not going to be as secure even if it is capable of more weight. So anyone with a 50" TV, this stand can hold it, and my TV is Vesa 200mm x 200mm mounting holes and again manual states it can mount from 100mm to 400mm so it mounted just fine.Next I would mention the construction of the stand. Having recently built furniture over these last few months where the instructions have left a lot to be worked out in your head as they aren't very clear, I can safely say that the instructions for this stand are the clearest most straight forward instructions I have read in a while. Quite thorough. I put the stand together very easily. So that is the construction side of it. However I will mention this, towards the end, when I needed to mount the TV it all became a bit of a nightmare. Now initially I figured it was the stands fault and I was a bit annoyed at the whole thing. However I realised it wasn't actually anything to do with the stand at all. Realistically trying to handle a 50" TV in general is very awkward and this is basically the most difficult aspect of the mounting process unless you man handle your tv and don't care about touching the screen or anything like that. How I eventually managed the mounting was by setting the TV up on a table, (needed help from another person BTW). I then put the stand on the floor. Then we carried the TV over to the stand and hung it as per instructions. It was awkward to say the least, but once you manage to drop the TV onto the hooks of the stand it is actually able to rest there which allows you to then push the TV from the bottom toward the other hooks and then from there you can put on the stabilizing screws. Once I had put on the screws I was actually able to pickup the TV by the stand and then set it on my TV unit. Picking it I recommend the help of another person depending on size of your TV. However I managed it by myself and was able to move into position.Materials seem good quality, glass is nice and shiny, has little rubber pads that you stick on so it doesn't scrap furniture or what ever is beneath it. There are a good supply of screws to cater for various mounting situations with TV's make sure you pick the right screws. This was easy for me as my TV already had some and I just matched them up. There are little spacers to help you clear cables if you need to, I was able to avoid this as my power cable is recessed and I only needed to press it in a little bit until I got the screw in and bracket fitted which then kept the cable pushed in by itself. I would not have done this is the cable was sticking further out so make sure you use the spacers if you need clearance as you wouldn't want to damage anything.Overall I think it turned out quite well. I thought it was a little high at first as I'm using the lowest height setting since it's already sitting on a tv unit, but now I actually think it's a better height than what I had it originally, probably optimum height actually for the size of the tv. I would recommend this stand, the price is really worth is, but beware, lifting a large TV and manoeuvring it is tricky no matter how great the stand is. If you can do it with your TV flat down it might be easier so long as you have clearance for the stands main base at the bottom.

Both great looking & sturdy
This is a great stand at a superb price. All the pieces are good quality and it looks fantastic when assembled. There are 6 height options during installation which is great. It only took a short time to work out which combination we needed. All the parts come in clearly labelled bags and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. It took around 35 mins to assemble the stand and install the TV on it.The parts include spacers and different sizes screws to allow for different shaped tv backs.Once the TV was in its final place I was very impressed with how sturdy & secure it was. Just as good as the manufacturers stand (and definitely better than the pile of books we were temp using to raise it!)The glass shelf is very nice looking & is the perfect size for a sky q box to sit.

Does your tv have its own hollow mount screws?
For my Sony Bravia 43 “ flat tv, none of the mounting screws fitted UNTIL I remembered the hollow spacer screw that came with the tv ! Then all went together very easily. This mount does not swivel but the whole thing can be positioned easily.

Universal stand really good
Good sturdy stand, value for money. Fitted great but I would say this is a two person job to mount. Looks great and my 42 inch TV feels safe

Solid engineering and clear instructions
It's not often I get excited about assembling flat-packed stuff but this is probably the best designed product for self-assembly I've seen! It's well engineered and easy to assemble. Everything is labelled. Each nut and bolt has a compartment in the packaging. So it's easy to follow the assembling instructions. At first, it looks overwhelming because there are so many nuts and bolts! However, many of them are for different size screw holes in different TVs. So many aren't used at all (your TV manual will tell the screw size but you can just try them all; my TV manual said to use M6). Once you work that out, it takes about 15 minutes to assemble. There is only one thing you have to think about: how high you want the TV to be from the base. This is probably true of all stands. Fortunately, this stand gives you three choices to adjust the height: by changing the horizontal bar (TV plate), by changing the position of the two monitor brackets that screw onto the back of the TV or, finally, by changing whether the upper or lower slot on the two brackets is used to hang the TV onto the horizontal TV plate. It may help to know that when you use the top slot of the brackets to hang onto the TV plate (and the TV plate is in the highest position on the support column), the bottom of the brackets is about 15cm to the base. You can use this information (but measure it yourself) to fit the brackets to the TV to get the height you want. This is a detail you may not care about but I mention it in case it saves you time. The one area of improvement are the size of the wire clips that keep your cables together. It would be nice if they were bigger. However, this is easily corrected in so many ways, such as using cable ties. The final nice touch is the inclusion of a small spirit level that clips onto the TV plate to ensure it is horizontal. The designers and writers of the installation instructions have done a great job!If you want more details, read John C's review, which is an accurate description of the product.
